  • Seems to be of similar quality to the more expensive brand
Size: 5L Color: Orange
I do a lot of White water kayaking. I keep a 5L dry bag in my boat to hold a few necessities. I’ve been using a big whitewater brand with 3 letters that cost nearly twice as much. This bag seems to be as well made. I’ll see it it holds up as well as the more expensive brand.

  • Good cost compromise for good enough if that's what you need
Size: 10L Color: Light Blue
I have a number of dry bags, and this feels like some of them but a little lighter. I do agree that it is lighter in manufacturing, build, and the resulting ability to be waterproof versus water resistant. My expectation was to use this for some of my off highway recovery gear. (I was able to us a sharpie to write on the exterior material to identify it. Does not appear to rub or smear afterwards.) The 10L size allowed me to fit two rope style soft shackles and a 20ft recovery strap. I think I would have liked to wrap the closure a little more for more opportunity for air/water tightness at the opening, but the overall build here is also on the light side too. My expectation would be that, if left out in some rain, things left inside the dry bag might not get wet. I think I would expect some water intrusion if it was submerged as there just isn't the build quality or extra material there to further aid in sealing. I think this will keep almost all dirt and water off my recovery bits along with retaining wet and dirty gear inside for the most part. These fit my need for a good, resistant solution rather than a higher expectation of a great solution for more expensive items. For good enough, this gets five stars. If you want great, other more expensive solutions are available. ... show more

  • A Good Day Bag for a Day Trip
Size: 10L Color: Light Blue
This is a solid bag if your looking to keep a few things dry on a day trip. This bag is not going to be a great buy for someone looking for a bag that is going to be used regularly for years to come. Overall this bag looks and feels like one of the highest quality bags on the market in most ways but differ in a few key differences. The first big difference is in how water tight it is. The bag is reasonably water tight and would survive most falls into the water without getting water in it. However, it is not as water tight as other bags I've had and water got in when I tested it underwater with pressure on the bag. What does this mean, it would take on water if it fell out of a boat and hits rocks and other things when underwater. Usually if a bag ends up underwater in these circumstances your not likely to get it back. The other area it is less than optimum is in its durability. The bag I received is not reinforced on the seams and has places where its not sealed over where it should be. Some of this is just cosmetically uglier than it should be, and for a bag that is not going to see heavy use not a big deal but with heavy use the inadequate sealing on the seams means it will break down faster and will start to take on quicker than a bag that is properly sealed. Given I've had bags I used for decades for the average user its not going to be a big deal but if your going to be heavily using the bag opting for one with better sealing is going to mean longevity. Finally The bag comes with an optional strap that has a reflective strip on the strap. That strap is secured to the bag with a a fairly insecure clip. Given that this strap is where someone might strap it to the boat or use to carry it if they weren't savvy to proper strapping in of objects this is a fairly significant flaw. Not because it changes the waterproofing at all but because it is likely to break if put under a lot of strain and pressure and if the bag ends up in the water you may never see it again. ... show more

  • A nice drybag for canoeing, kayaking, keeping your belongings dry while hiking
Size: 10L Color: Orange
I have (and do) own a couple drybags by different brands. The thicker bag I have started to crack at the resting seams. The thinner ones...they work, but I never trust them hahaha! I'm always worried they will rip or water will seep through the fabric. Actually, I have one the same size as the one I bought, and I have duct tape on it, but I couldn't tell you why. For this one, it seems durable. There is reinforcement on the bottom, but for some reason it also feelings thinner down there. What I like about this drybag, the material moves better which absorbs impact better, hold up to sun damage, you have more room to work with versus a stiff bag. The buckle is strong, but the clips on each end of the strap are not good. It seems like it will break easily, or the tongue will snap off. My favorite part is the top of the bag. The rim of the bag is flattened, semi-rigid, and reinforced so it acts as a half inch protector. It makes folding very easy and prevents the edges from being damaged. I think it would be lovely if an emergency patch was included. For the price, I think this will hold up a few years (hopefully more) and is a good deal. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Size: 10L Color: Black
I hike, kayak and sometimes go out on a friend's small boat. All three activities typically end up with my gear and I getting partially wet. I needed a wet dry bag. Dry bags come in a bunch of various versions, most of which don't inspire too much confidence. I stumbled upon this, it looked intriguing so I figured I'd give it a shot. First and foremost it seemed like a good value. It claims to have an IP6 rating. And... it came with a shoulder strap. It arrived quickly in a standard Amazon kraft bubble mailer. Inside it was simply packed in plastic but included directions (which you don't need, I'll mention why in a bit) and some brand marketing materials. The bag itself is strong. It appears to be made really well and out of decent materials. I'm impressed. The bag actually has the directions printed at the top of the bag. These types of bags are simple roll down bags so no you don't really need them but for someone who hasn't hiked, it's nice that they're right on the bag. I immediately noticed that it seals up really good. It holds air. That means it'll float. It's definitely too heavy for me to take on a hike but for the kayak and boat days, this thing is perfect. ... show more
