My grandson and I assembled in a bit more than an hour. It would have been pretty cumbersome for one person, but it's well designed and very sturdy. The instructions were simple and well illustrated. The only real flaw is the drawer. The manufacturing isn't perfect and it's hard to open and close. A generous application of WD-40 helped, but I wouldn't put anything that requires frequent access in the drawer. The two shelves are great for toolboxes or drills, socket sets, etc. The top is a great place for lubricants, glues, etc. Very pleased with the purchase. ... show more

You get what you pay for. This is a solid workbench for the price it sells for. The workbench area and the shelves are sturdy and solid. I'm pleased with the product but it does come with some defect. The issue I had was with the drawers, the metal isn't fabricated correctly and the holes dont line up for all the screws for the drawers. To get the drawers to align properly you'll have to cut into the metal and created more of an angle. If not you'll be able to screw in all but 2 screws and the drawers will slide in but be loose. It took about 2 1/2 hours to assemble and the instructions were in a foreign language but it still was fairly simple. ... show more

This came in a big heavy box that was intimidating to even open. It took several hours of assembly, and the instructions were a little unclear on certain steps. But the hardware to put it all together was pretty simple. If I didn't have a drill with hex key bits, I think I may have given up putting this thing together though. However, once it is assembled, it is really practical to have in our garage. It was very reasonably priced compared to something already assembled. I use it for tool storage and organization. It is a lot faster to find the right tool when it's in this work bench than when it was previously stored in totes. I'm happy that I have it, now that it is put together. I gave this product 3 stars. My husband gave it 1 1/2 stars. It was fairly easy to put together, though time consuming. Once complete one of the drawers was not aligned properly. It is not usable. All in all. It's pretty sturdy.

Once fully assembled it looks decent… that’s about it. Very lengthy and difficult assembly, Tools provided are useless. The entire bench wobbles side to side after assembly, drawers are an absolute nightmare to get on and one even broke during installation. Some of the screw holes didn’t align. But what frustrates me more than anything is the peg board holes aren’t even the right dimensions. Any other standard 1inch wide pegs you buy WILL NOT WORK. ... show more

I wanted a work bench in the basement where I could do smaller household tasks without having to go to the big shop in the shed. I've poked at some display models in the stores and they all seemed cheep. The metal parts were so thin I could twist them with my bear hands and surface boards that would flex just by pressing down a little. This one seemed to be better, so I took a chance. I am pleasantly surprised! The metal angles are plenty strong and do not flex or twist at all. The hole tolerances are tight enough that there is little movement even when the bolts are loose. Once everything is torqued down, the frame is very solid. The surfaces are partical board, but are thick enough to not sag even when I sit and bounce on them. Yes, that's my test. It's heavy to the point that you have to intend to move it. The overhang gave some additional shelf space and a place to mount a power strip and lights. I mounted a small vice on one corner and sharpened a lawn mower blade. There was absolutely movement or flexing. That's about as heavy duty of a project I plan on using it for.
