The white cover feels clean and the build gives off a premium vibe. The fill is listed as a high percentage goose down, so it feels lofty and comfortable right out of the bag. I noticed that as soon as I pulled it onto the bed, it actually fluffed up nicely, and it’s given a much richer feel compared to the older comforter I’d been using. When it comes to sleep time, it’s been mostly good. On cooler nights I felt nicely warmed without getting too hot, which I wasn’t sure if a “medium” warm comforter could pull off. The loft helps it stay cozy and there aren’t weird cold spots that I felt. Also, the breathable feel of the cotton-type cover means I didn’t wake up sweating or overly warm when the night got a little warmer. So in terms of comfort and warmth balance I’m pretty pleased. But, yeah — there are a few things worth noting. It’s a bit heavier and bulkier than the synthetic comforter I had before, so it takes more effort to straighten it out every morning and tuck it in. The fluffiness means it fills out the duvet cover (if you use one) more, which is great for look, but it also means shifting it around feels more of a chore. Also, while it’s labeled “all-season,” in my room during summer I still felt a little warmer than ideal — not uncomfortably so, but I’d want to pull back the blanket a bit earlier than with a super lightweight comforter. Finally, the price-point is higher than my past picks, so it feels like you’re investing more for the premium down + cotton cover package. In summary: I like it a lot. If you’re upgrading from a basic comforter and you want something that gives you a fluffier, more luxurious sleep without going into ultra-cold-weather territory, this is a strong choice. If you run hot or you want something ultra-light for all-summer only, you might want to think about whether the weight/warmth fit your habits. But for me it nails the comfy-luxury look + feel and I’m glad I got it.

We absolutely LOVE this comforter. I don’t have a photo because we put a duvet on it and all you’d see is the duvet. A couple of caveats – It comes vacuum sealed. That means when you open it, it is not exactly in the shape you want it in. Unseal it carefully (do not use a blade, if you can avoid it), then spread it out on a bed and let it breathe for a day or so. If it’s still not thick enough to your liking, fluff it on low heat in the dryer for a few minutes. Eventually, it will thicken up. It is supremely warm, and it has some nice features, including little ties on the corners to tie it INTO the corners of the duvet, so it won’t slide around like it’s in a ziplock. I mention this because others that we have had lacked this feature and occasionally the comforter got folded and bunched up in the duvet. Not with this one, as long as your duvet has ties on the inside as well (ours does). I do recommend getting a duvet (sold separately) because cleaning it could be challenging. And dirt and skin oils will quickly start to show if you don’t protect it. I can see us using this for years to come.

Considering how this says "extra fluffy" I thought it would be thicker. This feels a bit on the thin side, like something you'd use during the fall or spring. But after using it one autumn night I found myself sweating underneath it! It's quite warm. I guess I'm used to polyfill comforters instead of goose down, so the warmth of this lightweight blanket was surprising. It's a soft and kind of squishy blanket, so it's pleasant to use. I usually wash all clothing and bed linens before using it, but I didn't wash this one. As I understand it, you're not supposed to wash goose down or it'll get all clumpy. Since this is all white, you'll either want to cover it or keep it away from pets and children. The shell is all cotton (at least that's what the tag says) and feels smooth and densely woven, so that should make it easier to spot-clean. I didn't notice any odd smells, thankfully, so washing doesn't seem necessary. The price seems like a lot for a comforter, but I'm admittedly not familiar with how much goose down usually costs. The quality is very good, so maybe it's worth it.
