    • Misleading – Redirects through their site and NFC tag is password locked

I purchased this expecting a simple NFC/QR card that would take customers directly to my Google review page. That is not how it works. When someone taps the card or scans the QR code, it does not go directly to the Google review page. Instead it first opens a RevLixey webpage and requires the user to click another button before being redirected. That extra step adds friction and defeats the purpose of making reviews quick and easy. Another issue is that the NFC chip is advertised as writable, but it is password protected. While NFC reader apps will show the chip as writable, attempts to overwrite the link fail because the tag requires a password that the customer does not have. This means you cannot bypass their redirect or program the card with your own direct review link. For businesses trying to make it as easy as possible for customers to leave reviews, the extra redirect step is not ideal. If you’re okay with being locked into their platform and redirect system, it may work for you. But if you want a simple NFC card that goes directly to your Google review page, this product does not do that. ... show more
