Pixel 6 is the phone Google should have made a long time ago. With this in mind... I believe they missed the proper battery/processor mapping as the battery is not as strong as expected. I am a pixel user since the first pixel.. and I was enjoying my Pixel 5 before buying the Pixel 6. I hope Google will make a smaller version with longer battery life like the Pixel 5. ... show more

I've alternated between Samsung phones and Pixels through the years. I've generally preferred Pixel because the Samsung 'bloatware' is annoying and Pixel tended to offer better value. However, the Pixel 6 is terrible. The battery life is so poor relative to most phones in the price category that it's hard to believe. Google has released some patches to 'help' the issue, but even still the phone can't make it through a day with light to moderate usage unless you leave 'battery' saver on the entire time. I've usually kept phones for close to 3 years before upgrading. Most of the adaptive features that make the phone cool can't be used because of the battery. The same for higher frame rates. In this case, I've barely had the phone for 6 months and I am already considering biting the bullet and buying a different phone. The camera is also disappointing. It's isn't bad per se, but I've come to expect Google to excel at cameras and, in this case, it feels like Google has fallen moderately behind the competition. Overall, though a decent price point, this phone fails on most levels and I'd never recommend it to anyone. And I don't think I'll be looking at buying Pixel ever again. ... show more

When I upgraded to this phone my main goal was to get "a camera that had a phone in it!" and in that I succeeded. However, there are many aspects of the phone that have a ways to go yet. The first is the fingerprint reader. As many others have said it is quite finicky and often doesn't read your finger correctly, which requires you to enter your security code. In addition, the battery life is not the greatest. I had high hopes, but I have had it die in less than a day more than once and that was without constant use. It is still an improvement over the old Galaxy S10 that I had before it, but it is not the "Wonder Phone" that Google cracked it up to be. ... show more

This was the first phone that fell into the mid price range ~$500. Am pleasantly surprised (and impressed) at how great it is and how much better than the cheaper phones I'd been buying. I wish the fingerprint reader hadn't moved to in-screen, but whether it been tweaked from earlier versions of the Pixel 6 hardware or in is software doesn't matter - it works very well now quickly and without error.
