Description

Whether a rescue or a show dog, a pedigree or a mutt, you can't help falling in love with Randal Ford's dog portraits, as each evokes the unparalleled bond we feel for our greatest companions. Randal Ford now focuses his portraiture lens on the one species that has been by our side for millennia: our best friend. Good Dog captures the warmth, humor, and unconditional love that is at the heart of every dog. From mutts beaming with charisma and charm to show dogs exuding grace and elegance, Ford's 150 dog portraits bring out the dog lover in all of us. With a compelling essay by W. Bruce Cameron, this warm, tender, playful, and heartfelt collection of dog portraits gives us a beautiful look into the lives of our most cherished companions. Proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit Emancipet. Since 1999, Emancipet has been on a mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for everyone. They have spayed or neutered more than 350,000 dogs and cats, and in 2019 cared for more than 170,000 pets. Read more

beautiful and informative
Format: Hardcover
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Good Dog: A Collection of Portraits" is an absolute delight for any dog lover! The book is filled with heartwarming, beautifully captured portraits of dogs, each one showcasing their unique personalities and charm. The photography is stunning, and the attention to detail really brings out the emotions and character of each dog. As someone who adores dogs, I found myself smiling and even tearing up while flipping through the pages. The collection is not only a visual treat but also a celebration of the bond between humans and their canine companions. It's the perfect coffee table book and makes a wonderful gift for any dog enthusiast. Highly recommend! ... show more

Every Dog Lover Needs This Book!
Format: Hardcover
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!! As a huge animal lover and dog mom, I honestly can’t think of a better coffee table book to have in my home. It’s absolutely adorable, but the photography is also genuinely stunning - he so beautifully captures each dog’s personality. Some look so dignified and serious, while others are complete goofballs. The simple studio backgrounds really let their expressions shine. It’s also a gorgeous hardcover with over 200 pages, so it’s a substantial book rather than something you flip through in five minutes. There’s even a foreword by W. Bruce Cameron, who wrote A Dog’s Purpose, which feels very fitting. I initially loved the idea of having this as a decorative coffee table book, but it’s so much more charming than that. It’s the kind of book that instantly puts you in a good mood, and I find myself wanting to flip through it just to look at all the sweet faces. If you’re a dog person, you get it. :) Absolutely beautiful book and would make such a thoughtful gift for any dog lover! ... show more

Good Dog book
Format: Hardcover
I LOVE this book. The pictures are wonderful. And the descriptions for each photo are so enjoyable to read. Some are next to the picture and others are in the back pages of the book. I also own The Animal Kingdom by this same photographer/author. They are both delightful. Would make great gifts.

The pictures are beautiful and the quality of the book is great! I appreciate too that they include pitbull breeds and pitbull mixes in the dogs that are represented. Each day I flip the page so that we get introduced to a new dog. My family loves it too!

Christmas Gifts 2021, Done!
Format: Hardcover
What a beautiful gift at a value $ for so many on my Christmas list! I gave a few last year and received many genuine compliments, so I doubled my order this year. As a realtor, it’s a very nice housewarming gift. And I even treated a mortgage lender and title closer to a copy. The photos are crisp, the copy is entertaining and the pages and binding are quality. Plus the proceeds go to a good cause. It’s a win win for a personal or professional gift. Reasonably priced,, ships Prime in tightly sealed protective wrap. ... show more
