This is my 1st power chair. I had a stroke 12 yrs. ago which affected my left side. I've owned a few mobility scooters which were all great, but, as I'm getting older ((87), I was taking too long getting around the house with a walker or rollator. I've been debating awhile about a power chair, but I finally got this one & I'm so happy I did. First off, my house is an older one with some narrow doors inside & a narrow hall. after getting used to the joy-stick control, I can easily go to any room with ease. The under seat basket was one of the main reasons I chose this one, plus the fold-up foot rest was another must. The swivel seat gives 2 options for getting in & out of the chair (front, fold up footrest, side just stand up). The max. speed (outside) is about a very brisk walk. Brakes slam on if you move the stick to the middle fast, but you can really control everything just the way you like with just a little experience, Also, the speed control rheostat can control the stick sensitivity. Go to U-Tube to see several videos on This chair. I watched everything I could find before I ordered & this way, I knew what to expect. Very glad I did. The chair easily breaks down to fit in a car trunk, but there's no way I could ever do it myself.(too heavy) However I did manage to un-box, & set it up on my own in the garage. If you get one, I strongly recommend that you get it with the optional extra of the "premium seat" It adds over 100 plus dollars to the price. I did & even the premium one is not "plush", but it supports a lot more "comfortable" than the standard one will. ... show more

    • Back of chair does not adjust
I can’t walk. I have back pain. The back of chair does not adjust. If it would recline it would ease my back pain. Other chairs I have owned the back of the chair has adjusted.

The size is great for small apartment use. The back rest is a little short for sitting for any length of time in comfort. It would be nice if the seat could be adjusted back more, for longer legs.

I may not have gotten my chair off of Amazon but it has helped me to have more freedom while out when I have to take a bus my house is a half mile from the nearest store and I am unable to walk that far anymore and this chair has helped me so much
