Sturdy, with very white edges. The black tends towards the brown. Very, very well packed-- even though the outside of the box was crushed, the mats were fine. Excellent value, would definitely buy from again.

The mats include backs and clear bags at a reasonable price. The quality of the product is very good, although two of the mats that I received had corners that were bent and one mat had a smudge. I don't know if the bent mats were the result of manufacture or shipping. This is a concern since some of the photographs that I will be showing at a craft fair will not be framed. Regardless, I am satisfied with the mats and will order from this company again.

The product exceeded expectations in the quality of the product... Also, an extra clear, plastic envelope was included with each set of ten purchased. That seems odd to do, but the first time you need to open up an already sealed piece and are not extremely careful, you'll know why I was so happy to have a replacement for the one I ripped doing it and in the other pack, the one that the glue stuck to itself because I wasn't careful... I have no complaints whatsoever about this product, but along the line mentioned above, I would warn potential customers that the clear bags are meant to be sealed ONCE and left that way until sold & the buyer removed them to be framed... You CAN unseal them and change the insides if you need to and it WILL restick, but you must do so carefully because the exposed glue will stick to itself or to the envelope and if you pull it too hard, it will rip the envelope... So, don't pull off the glue protection until you are sure you don't need to reopen it again... and if you do, be careful, even use something to recoat the glue (save one or two of the protection strips torn off for that reason) and you'll be fine... As for the customer service, well, I had to be a real pain in the butt to the sellers and not only asked for a rush shipment after the fact, but added another set to my order minutes before it was going out the door, still needing it to be mailed right away... I expect that they had to literally RUN to get my order changed for me and make their shipping deadline, yet they did it for me at no extra charge over and above the normal cost... I needed it for an upcoming show and they got it here on time... They went above and beyond what anyone has any right to expect from a company and I appreciated it... and potential customers of "Golden State Art" should know that they are a wonderful supplier who will do whatever necessary to satisfy their customers... ...
