The frame came packaged very well. Well wrapped and protected inside the packing box. I used it to frame a cross stitch project. I originally thought the price was a bit high but after searching Amazon's other frames I realized it wasn't far out of line with most others. The hardwood is well finished and the glass is as thick as it should be. The mat used inside is very nice and this is something cheaper frames can't hide. As for the measurement of the openings - all mats are cut like this people! It is literally in the product description as well! 4x6 describes the compatible photo size, not the dimensions of the openings. That is why you need to read the exact measurements in the description!

Someone recently gifted me a beautiful print and it was a strange size (like 7 3/4X 20) - and I looked everywhere for a frame, determined to avoid paying to get it custom framed. I checked all the big craft stores and came up empty. Then I found this collage frame (which is really just a regular frame with the mat cut for 4 photos) and it was PERFECT. The dimensions were exactly what I needed, I just removed the mat! The frame, itself, is nice quality (I ordered it in white, as it went best with the print that way), and it was exactly what I needed in size and style! I was so happy to get something for like $30 instead of paying $100 to get it done custom.
