A must have if you're doing vinyl flooring

This is exactly what I expect from Goldblatt tools. They are well made and solid. The hammer has enough heft to be effective, but not so much it causes damage. The red end on the hammer is a little soft to use on the tapping block. It is just right if you are installing a drop lock floor where the ends have to be tapped down on the surface of the wood. It applies enough force to lock the ends together without damaging them. This is my preferred style of tapping block. Some have most of the block on the subfloor while using while this block has most of it on the new plank while using. I prefer this design because it allows me to work more rows closer to the wall. I also appreciate the pull bar design. The end you hit with the hammer comes up and makes a square. Many others just has a single metal flap sticking up. Those tend to bend over time. The square end makes it much stronger. It doesn't allow the end to bend over and almost flatten. It not only lasts longer, but directs the force you apply where you want it instead of bending the tool. And finally the spacer blocks work so much better than wedges. Oftentimes when installing a new floor there is a gap between the finished wall and the subfloor. When you use a wedge and push the new floor against it, the wedge just angles under the wall. That messes up your spacing. The design of these blocks apply pressure to the wall above the floor preventing them from sliding under. A great choice for professionals or DIYers. Other sets can get the job done, but this one has a lot of benefits many others do not.

Great installation set. Hammer has a nice feel with two heads, soft and hard for locking planks in place. The pullbar does its job and the spacer are great. Major upgrade from those plastic wedges you see out there. I removed one star for the tapping block. It has two sides, one for hardwood, one for locking panels. I tried both and it damaged by plank no matter which side I used. Very thin, hard to hold, good concept but I tossed that. The rest of the kit is great

I have several boxes of laminate hickory flooring that I bought a year or two ago but haven't had a chance to install (or the courage to try to do it myself - I'm a 66-year-old woman with not a whole lot of experience with things like this). I have a new handyman who luckily knows how to install the click-lock flooring, so when I saw this wood flooring installation kit, I ordered it right away. See my photo, please! It shows the items in box next to my flooring (which will replace the very very very old rug in my TV room - it will be installed around the tile that's also in the photo). I showed the kit to my handyman and he said it looks like it has everything he will need -- a 2-sided mallet (I think for different flooring materials?), a tapping block (so you don't damage the material you're hitting with the mallet), a pull bar, and 30 expansion spacers that accommodate different sizes of flooring. I am going to watch him install the flooring in my TV room and then I will try to do another room myself - this kit seems like even someone like me (who is TRYING to be more handy around the house, not always with success) can use it! So far both my handyman and I are impressed! I will try to remember to post another photo after he installs the flooring in the TV room. At $34.99 (as of 10/26/25), this seems to me to be a great value for your toolbox if you know you are going to be changing out flooring in various rooms of your house!

Just what we needed! Right now, the double ended mallet was the tool we were after, as our old one finally bit the dust. Because these have soft work surface ends, unlike other metal hammers, they will eventually give way, but for us, the old one was in use for over fifteen years! The prybar, tapping block and spacers will come in super handy when we start installing some new hardwood next month, too. All of the tools in this kit are top quality and function exactly as expected. These are easy to use, just don’t bang a finger or toe and make absolutely sure to leave space at the perimeter of each room to accommodate shrink or swell that can accompany fluctuating temperature and humidity. If you don’t leave that space, you’ll regret it. Great value at this pricepoint for a professional set of flooring installation tools? Highly recommended.

This is a must for doing your own laminate flooring (tongue and groove) yourself. It'll be way easier than you think. Watch a few videos and you can get the job done quickly. Recently a neighbor had flooring done and they had a handyman or contractor do it. Not only did they get a limited amount of choices for the tiles but they should have gotten waterproof since they spill drinks (also if you have pets going to bathroom). If they get wet it'll probably balloon overnight and disconnect the tiles right at the bulge. I was lucky to come across this and can confirm this will work perfectly. The hammer is not a typical hammer for a reason. One side is a harder rubber/plastic while the other is more flexible rubber. This way you can gently push them into place without having them fall apart or slip. The black tools are for convenience when knocking the tiles together. This set is very nice and perfect for handling bigger or smaller tiles. You will absolutely value this addition to the tools. Worth every penny in my opinion. If you put spacing at the wall (for expansion) and knock all the tiles tightly together you should not have any tongue and groove slip out. The floor will stay put if you use this properly. Because these tools are made of quality material and sturdy construction
