They have been very durable, the pouches that the hammock go into when not in use are not as durable. Two of the 6 pouches have ripped. But that might be from rough usage. I bought this for my friend because I accidentally threw a firework into his hammock and it burned a huge hole in his original one. He loves his new one though because I got him the camo version. Hope this serves as a good PSA to not throw fireworks near people.

This was a spontaneous purchase for the kids. I'm a big woman, (250lbs) and wasn't planning on using this at all. The kids were having so much fun with it though, that I had to give it a try. I sat on it...then leaned back...then swung my legs...then laid down and fell asleep! This thing is amazing!! Sooo easy to set up. Very secure, and by the end, we had all four kids in it for a combined total weight of 520lbs. When I took it down, I checked it to see how it help up and the cords and clasps looked brand new. Those kids were swinging each other as hard as they could too. I don't know how we've ever camped before with out a hammock! They got it all dirty with capri suns and mashed up cookies. The extra bit of length, softness of the material, and thinness (tight weave and packability) of the straps put this hammock above the 2 similar ones I tried. The carabiners are sturdy but heavy; one of others had wired clips on the carabiners which were much lighter and would have made this hammock better. The bag also has a relief cut in it (but does have doubled stitching to reinforce) which I feel may be a failure point in the stuff sack in the future. These are both small nitpicky things but were points against this hammock that other cheaper hammocks were better at, but I still decided to keep this one over cheaper options (2/3 the price of this one) because the positives make it worth it. ... show more
