  • Total Game Changer for Camping & Bad Knees
Scent Name: Lavender
This thing is seriously amazing and came in so clutch while camping. I have bad knees, so squatting down to pee is a hard no for me, and this made everything so much easier and way more comfortable. It’s soft, flexible, and feels well made with quality silicone that’s easy to use and clean. After a couple uses, it felt very natural and did exactly what it’s supposed to do with no leaks or issues. It’s lightweight, reusable, and easy to pack, which makes it perfect for camping, travel, or any situation where bathrooms aren’t ideal. Honestly, it gave me so much peace of mind and saved me a lot of discomfort. If squatting is a struggle for you, this is absolutely worth having on hand. ... show more

  • Ok to use, somewhat convenient, great for camping
Scent Name: Lavender
After reading the reviews about Go Girl, I was a bit skeptical about trying this product. However, I was traveling to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with a four day safari afterwards and needed a solution for night time bathroom breaks. It is recommended on the climb that you do not leave your tent because of the weather and the fact that you might fall off a cliff. It is recommended on the safari that you do not leave your tent as you may be eaten by wild animals. As such, we repurposed a water bottle into a night time "potty"; however, for women, this is not as easy as for men. So I was looking for a solution for myself and Go Girl was the solution I chose. I practiced for about two months before my trip and felt very confident using it. I only had one accident and that was because I was lacking a proper seal on the back. When I first received it and began to practice, my husband and four year old crowded into the bathroom to witness this momentous occasion. Luckily, it went well. Surprisingly, my four year old was super excited that mommy could pee like daddy and she wanted to try it as well. Again, I was skeptical, but she tried it and was successful. She like it so much, she wanted to try it again later - which did not go as well. Since then, she has not asked to try it again. On the trip, I never actually used it standing up as you do have to pull your pants down rather far to get the proper positioning. With my pants already around my knees, I found it was faster and easier to just squat. However, it served its purpose for night time "potty breaks" well. I simply got on my knees in the tent, positioned the Go Girl and peed in the bottle with no problem. I did keep a tissue underneath to catch minor drips upon removal. I highly recommed this product for use in a tent at night or in sketchy bathrooms (stadiums, reststops); however, for someone looking for a solution to use as an alternative to squating in the wild, this product is not very effective. It is soft and the hose is not very long, requiring you to get the proper leverage to get it to work well. This is difficult to do without your pants down low. I will say my husband walked in on me once with my pants down, one hand on my hips and the other holding the device and I chatted with him over my shoulder. He said it was a bit unnerving.... ... show more

  • Every female should have one. Pee where and when you want.
Scent Name: Camo/Khaki
Excellent little thing. I have another style one that is hard plastic and quite long, not very convenient ient for putting in a pocket. This one appealed to me first because the soft, flexible material can be rolled and also it's a bit smaller. PRACTICE AT HOME! Practice wearing the sort of clothes you'd be wearing hiking, traveling whatever. The instructions on pressing the back end of it firmly against yourself are the key to this thing not leaking I believe. I took that advice and hold it like I'm at risk of getting urine all over myself..which of course I am ;) Make sure you practice with a full bladder, hahaha not just a wee test pee. But a proper, been drinking liters of water and whatnot sort. I suspect you could over flow the unit if you pee too much too fast (perhaps this is how others experienced leaking?) Slow down and pause and go some more allowing the little tube end to flow and not back up on you. Keep a ziploc or something in your pocket so you can store it until you can wash it. Have some t.p. You could get away without it in an emergency but feel more comfortable with t.p. Wet wipes, great for hands. Don't pee on your feet, haha an odd experience to have to watch where I "aim" Every little girl should be given one of these, multiples really. How many long, painful car trips holding it til a rest stop or a bush or privacy can we all avoid now! Yay! The desert is BIG the rest stops are sooooooooooooooooooooooooocactusoooooooooooooooAnothercactusoooooooo scarce and far apart. Throwback: Amboy crater vault toilet pit stop in the old days, aggghh hahaha I got the kahki colour as the hot Barbie pink is ridiculous and silly as a main colour for a peeing device. The khaki is more neutral. If you practice and use with confidence I don't think any one would even suspect what you're doing if you go out peeing in the wilds unless they were super close and facing you and even then it's less revealing than what a dude would experience. ... show more

  • It was my first choice, until I tried pSyle! It was my first choice, until I tried pSyle!
Scent Name: Camo/Khaki
I have a bladder disease: Interstitial Cystitis, therefore I need to urinate a lot, (ie on dog walks in my neighborhood, at the beach, during car rides, you name it). Squatting in public is just not an option anymore. Here are my needs: Discretion is key, comfort, usability and performance are also top priorities. I ordered "Go Girl", "Shewee", "Wiz Freedom" & “pStyle”. I tried them all right out of the box, without a “shower trial”. Initially I used my own home bathroom, standing over the toilet with my pants only as far down as discretion would allow. I also tried them with jeans, bicycle shorts and yoga pants. Here are my results: Shewee- When I used this product I had urine on my clothing. I tried using it 3 times with the same results. It’s very bulky and therefore not discrete, The clear tube must be used because the green funnel isn’t long enough to exit the urine safely away from the body. It is made of hard plastic, so it will not collapse during use but still needs 2 hands because it’s so long and narrow you need to hold both ends. It comes with it’s own caring case, which is a plus. The part of the funnel you hold next to your body is extremely narrow, the funnel itself is so narrow if one was to release a large volume, quickly, I think it would overflow. You also need to wipe afterward because if you try to wipe yourself with it, it’s just to narrow, plus now you have 2 plastic pieces that are also wet (besides yourself and your clothing). This devise is generally hard to use, indiscrete (dark green…really?) and bulky both to carry and use. I would give the Shewee a rating of 1 star. I expected more from REI. Wiz Freedom- Out of the package, first try worked fine. It’s flexible and therefore needs both hands to keep it in place and prevent crimping. This devise was not very discrete, anyone seeing you from the side would wonder about this long bright pinkish-purple thing sticking out from between your legs. It doesn’t come with a carrying case and I couldn’t figure out how on earth I would carry this discreetly in my purse or use it in an emergency. It also stays wet and there’s the issue of self-clean-up, since you are wet after use. At least it doesn’t wet your clothing so, I would give this 2 stars. Go Girl- no leaking on first try, more difficult with elastic clothing due to the flexibility of the product, good discretion, you do need to use both hands to hold it tight to your body and keep it from crimping. I liked that it folded in half- and I could fit it into a small iPhone case on my waist when not in use! I didn’t like that there was still moisture in the devise and on my body when I finished, and therefore needed to wipe myself and figure out what to do with the paper. I would give this product 3 stars. pStyle- Worked great out of the package. Just the right length, the color option of semi-clear lavender makes it discrete as well. Because this devise is made of semi-flexible smooth plastic with rounded edges you can effectively use it to wipe yourself, when you are done. By gently pressing up and away from yourself, you are virtually dry- the last few drops go out the end. If you shake it, the pStle is virtually dry. as well If you want to really get it clean, just use a little water from your water bottle to shoot down the spout. If you buy the caring case you can pop the pStyle in there quickly and easily, and carry on without any fuss. The case just looks like an eyeglasses case and is totally washable with a Velcro closure. The case also comes in a blue-jean material, it can be hung on a belt loop or on the outside of a bag, purse or backpack with it’s mini carabiner. Because it is semi-ridged it requires only 1 hand in the middle to hold it in place— it won’t collapse. It also will not overfill or back-up because it is not a funnel, it’s more of a half-pipe. This is the only one I use now. I would give the pStle 5 stars, with a BIG thank you to the people who designed and distributed this product. ... show more

  • Awesome! Just maybe... practice a couple times first!
Scent Name: Camo/Khaki
This is a great product! I used it for a cross country road trip so that I didn't have to deal with the splash zone that comes along with trying to pop a squat in the bushes. There's a little bit of a learning curve to it, however, so here are my biggest tips: 1- you gotta lean way, way into it. Put your legs out wide (a bit past shoulder width) and lean forward. It helped me to brace against the car door for balance. If you try to just stand around like a dude and let it go, you're gonna end up with that weird "wicking" thing that happens when pee runs up your buttcrack and then has nowhere to go... so it goes up and out onto the back of your pants, which are undoubtedly stretched between your knees. 2- Combo tip: if you're trying to pee inside a confined space, remember that silicone/rubber has its limits. I tried to use it while kneeling AND peeing into a plastic bottle, and first the funnel part formed a seal against the bottle rim because I didn't leave a gap for air to vent, but THEN as a result of not being able to vent, the pee backed up into the funnel, and i was squatting, so I ended up folding the whole thing in half by accident and... dumping an entire funnel worth of urine all over myself, my pajamas, and my backseat. So yeah. Make sure you don't let it fold or get squished, and let it vent if you're using it in an airtight container. Besides those two lessons I learned the hard way, this device is awesome. Keeps you from having to totally bare-ass it in poison ivy while hiking, allows you to take a (moderately) indiscreet pee along the side of the highway, and makes it so that you don't have to stop at sketchy or unsanitary rest stops. ... show more

  • Works well for travel!
Scent Name: Lavender
Fantastic for trips abroad into countries with iffy bathroom facilities. Easy to clean. Lightweight & easy to carry with you when you're travelling. Also makes a great "emergency pee" kit to keep in the glove box of your car: pack it into a ziploc bag with some folded up TP & some wet wipes... you'll never need to touch anything at a truckstop again. Another time you'll be glad to be able to stand up and pee is when camping! No chance of accidentally squatting in a patch of poison ivy. I also have another brand of smaller hard plastic female pee device, which is trickier to use. This one is much more forgiving if you're in a hurry, because there's no need to get things lined up just right. It has a sort of gasket that seals around where it touches your body & keeps the whole thing from leaking. It's also soft & therefore more comfortable than the hard plastic style. Update: Not great for roadside pit-stops unless you can find a very private location. Because it's flexible, you have to get your clothes completely out of the way for it to work properly. If you can't fully drop-trou, the Go Girl is difficult to get into place and sealed well enough so your pee won't run out the back. If you add in a cross-wind and semi-trucks barreling past, it becomes nearly impossible. If you think you might have to pee behind a bush on the side of the road, practice a LOT before you leave the house. ... show more

  • dont recommend it
Scent Name: Lavender
when i read that it was made of silicone i expected the sturdiness that silicone products tend to host. like the divacup. i expected it to be hard enough to press against my pelvic floor and pee without leakage because i could press hard enough to contain urination pressure... unfortunately, and for some reason, this urination device was made of floppy thin rubber-like stuff. it will not contain pee at a normal release rate. the bulb fills up and nomatter how hard i think i'm pushing the part against my body, it cracks and overflows and i make a mess. this is a fault of sizing. this thing is HUGE. it covers bush to anus and outer labia lips! so not only is it difficult to make a seal, but it gets EVERYTHING wet, like peeing in a diaper and then removing it and cleaning yourself off. functionally this urination device only needs to cover the area around the urethra. maybe, they dont give credit to the women who will be purchasing this device, but i know exactly where my urethra is. and i expected a smaller stronger silicone thing that could contain the pressure of urination instead of flopping around like pizza dough. the exit for this device is blocked mostly so that only a smaller amount of urine can escape at one time. that may be causing some of the pressure problems, i may try to cut the blocked end off so it drains properly. from the picture i thought this thing was 3 inches long, so i thought this would be a great device to own. i was wrong. i will purchase another version of this device if they make the silicone at least a centimeter thick to withstand pressure so that i may press the cup part against my body without fear of crumpling or overflow. they also need to make it 2 inches wide at the cup part TOPS, so that no mess gets into the other parts. To pee standing up using your fingers you need to align your urethra to a straight line and clear the way to form no resistance from the urethra. to do this take your dominant hand and make an upside down V, spread your inner labia with the V so the skin is flat around your urethra (use a mirror to locate your urethra if you're not sure). next you need to pull upwards towards your belly button. so you are spreading and pulling, this aligns the skin so the urethra has a straight clear shot. then you push it out strong, then relax and pee normally, still holding the inner labia outwards, and pulling the whole vulva upwards towards your belly button. when you feel like you are almost done peeing, push it out fast and stop a second early so the stream is still strong enough not to dribble. if you do this correctly, the urine will not touch your labia or fingers. the only downside to this is that you have to wash your hands afterwards, but i guess you should be doing that anyways. ... show more
