Fast, fun, and fearsome~

As a Monster Hunter fan, I came into this game expecting more of the usual fare, and was utterly blown away by how different it sets itself out to be. It’s fast, seamless, frantic, frantic, and has a bit of a learning curve and a LOOOOO of customization options, but once you get the hang of it (easy to do since the game guides you well and doesn’t hold your hand), it’ll be second nature. The visuals are incredible, the story powerful, the characters lovable and memorable, the battles heart-pounding, and the music pretty damn intense. Unlike anything I’ve ever really played. I mean, it’s certainly Monster Hunter-esque, but it definitely stands on its own two feet. 5/5, glad I got it launch day~

Hey everyone, my name's Kiara but my gamer tag is Azynei. I was looking for a new game to play on my Nintendo Switch almost two weeks ago. I was looking up Nintendo Switch games on Google that had a good character customization option because I love games like that. So, I found and bought God Eater 3. I'm fairly new to the God Eater series. Anyways, as I was starting to play the game when I got it almost two weeks ago I instantly fell in love. The story of the game is amazing! I'm almost done with the game that's how long I've been playing it. Lol! I hope you guys will love this game! It's so good! That's the end of my review. Keep killing Aragami you AGEs! You’ll wield God Arc weapons that seamlessly switch between melee and ranged forms, allowing for flexible and dynamic combat. Can't go wrong. Honestly I think its better than monster hunter

Amazing game. I haven't gotten too far in yet, but this far it more than delivers. So far they shown the stories gonna be amazing- for the lore readers out there, the detail of them log entries inside the main hub are wild!. Just unlocked being able to tweak and make custom bullets which will only get better. The monsters are ??? As most are still new game fodder with a few "meh" bosses, BUT I enjoyed every moment fighting them so once the big gun moneters come out its gonna be a roller coaster ride!

Fun alt for Monster Hunter

I could never get into the Monster Hunter series. I gave this a shot by playing the demo and was surprised. Despite the game being fairly complex they guide you pretty well and you get the hang of it fairly fast. It's a lot more accessible than Monster Hunter. The action is fast paced and very fun. If you struggled with the MH games try the demo you might be surprised.

Plenty of action with hack and slash for days. Customization and online play is a plus. Definitely a type of game the switch is lacking and in need of. Sure there may be many similar games out there on the other consoles, but for this switch this is top notch in quality.

New to The Series (Coming from Monster Hunter / Dauntless)

God Eater 3 is a solid entry for those looking to scratch an itch between mission based boss rush games. I would only recommend this if you have exhausted the available content from MGHU first or found that game too difficult/slow. The Good: It is a good port that runs well with almost no slowdown. The controls are responsive (outside of targeting locks). Monster design is top notch even though there is not a huge variety. Burst attack customization was a great feature where you can tailor to your play style similar to the hunter arts from MHGU. The Mediocre: . Resolution downgrade is noticeable but if you were able to tolerate Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fidelity on docked / handheld this should not bother you. Weapon, armor and guns upgrades are plentiful but not significantly different in play style from one version to the next. Most improvements you make are very minor stat increases and not major play style changes. Also I largely skipped the story so I cannot speak to those issues; but the pacing did cause annoying fetch the right conversation quests between missions. The Bad: There are plenty of enemy AI / UI behaviors that leave a lot to be desired. Enemies who use AOE or missile attacks often do so outside of available camera views leading to cheaper feeling hits. There are also certain monsters who have overly aggressive tracking in their attack executions leading to following you in one animation across a map or randomly clipping you from an opposite direction. These issues are fine in isolation on 1X1 fights but most later rank fights throw multiple monsters at once at you compounding the problem. Additionally there are no options to fully customize controls and the available presets are not optimal for certain play styles.
