I got this mainly to protect my back bumper area on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline truck. It will keep shopping carts, people, and other cars from scratching the back end. But it also functions well as a convenient step, and looks rugged and cool. I think it is solidly built and good quality. It came boxed in a box, packaged well with no problems in delivery. Only 2 small issues: one is that my hitch locking pin did not fit the smaller holes of this, but it was quickly corrected by drilling it out a little. Second was that it was a little loose, not enough to rattle or affect performance, but I shimmed it somewhat by wrapping a little electricians tape around it for a tighter fit. But these were small issues, and I give it 5 stars! ... show more

We were looking for the perfect hitch cover for our new Lexus SUV and had ordered several before deciding on the Rhino D360T with textured black powder coat finish. We couldn't be any happier with our choice and love the look and functionality of this product! The quality is better than we expected! It fits snug and level and overall a nice touch of bling without going overboard. Best part is, we don't tend to bump into the hitch as we did before installing it. The design is rugged but classy. We had ordered the same step but in the chrome finish but felt is was over the top too much for the look we were going for. I ordered this product on 10/27/14 for my new Jeep. It has come in very handy as a step when washing the vehicle or loading the roof rack and it looks good too. However, the greatest payback was on 04/14/15 during a violent three car rear end collision . I was stopped in traffic and the vehicle behind me was slowing when it was rear ended so hard that the rear wheels lifted off of the ground as the front end plowed into me. Both drivers were injured, however thankfully not very serious. I exited my vehicle to find that the car behind me was a total loss and the initiating vehicle was undrivable. The D360PS Dominator that I purchased in Oct 14 was totally destroyed, however it substantially mitigated the damage to my vehicle, leaving just a gash and slight cave-in to the lower part of the rear bumper facia. The Dominator took the brunt of the impact dissipating the energy downward and away from the vehicle preventing what could have been major damage. Does it rattle a little....yes, but you can always put a small wood shim in it. (Nothing fits a hitch perfectly.) Is it worth the price, you better believe it is. I purchased a replacement today. I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants a little more assistance/protection on their vehicle especially if you are often in heavy traffic where drivers are distracted. ... show more

    • Great idea, great construction, with a few caveats.

This step is a great idea. My truck has a slight lift which makes stepping up to the bed a good stretch. Having a step like this is a great idea and this one does the trick. The material and build seem rock solid and the finish is great. It matches perfectly with my OEM chrome running boards. It has come in handy already on a handful of occasions. But, I do have a few gripes. There are 3 sets of holes on the receiver bar to adjust how far the step sticks out. On mine however, the 3rd set (the shortest setting) seem to be a smaller diameter than the other two sets. The pin would not fit through this set of holes. Using the 2nd or 1st set of holes makes the step sick out way to far and looks very awkward, as well as getting in the way. I used a step bit (uni-bit) to enlarge the holes a little to make it fit. Also The receiver bar is a little too skinny which makes the step fit VERY lose (1/8" or better) and wiggly on the receiver. So there is a TON of wobble and vibration while driving. Plan on purchasing a separate part to tighten up this problem. Also keep in mind a few obvious things. This is ONLY handy when reaching (or climbing) into your bed with the tailgate UP. If you dont do a lot of that and usually only access your bed with the gate down, then this step will offer you little use. ... show more

My hubby bought this step for me as a gift. Yeah. Installation was quick. He looked at several different types and brands. This one looks great on my pickup AND it has 2 steps instead of 1 high one, good quality, strong and adds extra protection to the rear of my pickup. It is stable to step on once you add the stabilizer piece on underside. It says optional. NOPE. If you do not put it on it wiggles quite a bit. Love it. ... show more

Bought this from Amazon Warehouse deals for about $20 less than full cost. It was supposed to have been returned once and have a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes. Well, I couldn't find a single mark on this thing. It looks perfect. It also looks AWESOME on my Jeep Patriot and flawlessly matches the 3" black Nerf bars that I have mounted on both sides of my Jeep. Yeah, so I'm wicked happy with this step and how it has allowed me to personalize my Jeep and also helps me reach my roof basket much more easily. This comes with what is supposed to be an "anti-rattle" attachment as well but I'm not sure how well the anti rattle attachment works. I installed it and I suppose it may limit some of the rattle of this being in my hitch receiver but I don't think its going to quiet it completely. I don't mind though. If it bothers me at all, Ill find another way to quiet things down. ... show more

This is the best accessory I've ever bought for my vehicle, we'll worth the cost!! I originally purchased this in 2019, and it has held up beautifully through 3 vehicles. In that time, the finish still looks great, weathered, but not flaking or rusting. I have noticed that it's drastically reduced the number of people that tailgate me in heavy traffic and on the highway. It also works very well as a step to get to the back part of the roof on my Atlas when I need to wash it out adjust cargo, like a Christmas tree! I've had quite a few people ask me about it over the years, and i just can't recommend it highly enough! ORIGINAL REVIEW: The product came in a damaged box that looked like it was used and not new. Removing the step from the box revealed holes in the carrying bag right where the screws are in the step. The step itself had minor scuff marks in the finish, but no major scratches. The stabilizer that came with it is worthless, no matter what I did would keep it from moving or rocking in my receiver. Overall, it looked like a reconditioned product and not a new one as it was listed. I will probably be sending it back if I can't get it to stop moving in the hitch, otherwise I'm frustrated that it appears to be reconditioned, but I can probably live with that issue. ... show more
