Have used this religiously for 4 years. Purchased a new one as there is no way to re-calibrate it. So if you purchase the entire package with everything in it, it's a good value. However the refills are pricey.

If you don't mind the finger prick, it is very accurate to measure high or low blood sugar. Remember to have A1c measured regularly by a lab.

I'm still new at this, bought it for monitoring my glucose as I am a reactive hypoglycemic. It's okay not too functional all the time. Newer batteries, but seems to not take a lot of my blood readings. Maybe not doing correctly, but followed the directions given. It worked pretty good a month or two ago. Haven't used it daily just monthly a few days a month for now. I'm not the pro at using this. Thanks for this product I will continue. .

We used this product when I found out my wife had gestational diabetes. We had scrolled through other products, however, Glucomate was the ideal purchase. The pack included a daily data record, Lancets, strips, and glucose meter. The meter was accurate and the device was made easy to use. Additionally, the lancet device had multiple settings to choose from since my wife has sensitive skin and she was uncomfortable with the lancet needle. The ability to control the lancet needle penetration was crucial for her. OVERALL: excellent product.

I continue to get E -1 error. It takes 3-4 test strips before I get one that doesn't provide an error. I know it's aggravating my husband, but we have to check it.

I saw other reviews mentioning the same complaint. The lancet button doesn't work when the cap is on. Super cheap. If I wasn't so busy, I would return this kit. Instead I ordered another lancet device from another vendor. What a waste! Update - not only is the lancet shoddy, but so are some of the needles. As I mentioned earlier, I purchased another lancet. That lancet came with its own set of needles. As I ran out of those, I started using the ones from this kit. I was surprised that some of the needles couldn't even puncture the skin. Fortunately, the meter, test strips, and the carrying case are decent; otherwise, I would hand returned this kit for a refund.
