I bought this for my child as a first time flute student. I figured it was less than $100 so if she quit after the first month it would be worth it. After the first month of lessons, her flute teacher said she wasn't making enough progress because the flute was too hard to play. I went to a music store and learned a lot about why this flute is hard to play, is not repairable, and is easily broken. I learned that I could buy a brand new, high quality Yamaha for just $500 with a guaranteed buy back price of more than 50% if my daughter quits at any time. I wish I went to the music store first instead of dropping $100 on this flute, but now we have a very expensive toy in the house that I can mess around with in helping my kid learn the flute. I've had this flute for almost a year now. It's VERY good quality. My friend is renting a super expensive one. She was shocked at the good sound of mine, and asked me how much I got it for. I have another friend interested in buying a flute. I recommended a Glory flute from Amazon. I recommend it to you. Enjoy! More than I expected, sound is perfect, was in tune when I received it ,color is perfect. This flute would be nice for a beginner or someone who has played for a while. I would recommend this flute to anyone looking for something inexpensive, and get more than expected for the price

Although this flute is beautiful to look at it's less than half the school year and it already doesn't work. The keys stick and it seems like it only plays One Note!

    • Nice Beginner Flute
This is a good beginner flute. I ordered the pink because that's my favorite color. I'm sure you'll need to upgrade if you get recruited by a philharmonic but it works for me as an absolute beginner without breaking the bank.

It was pretty good except one of the wires was bent and it significantly effected the sound luckily im very experienced and was able to fix it but it's something that could have very easily been missed by someone who is a beginner besides that everything was perfect
