I want to start by saying, I did alot of research before buying this. I went on vacation a few months ago and had amazing sleep using a down comforter. I haven't had a good night sleep since then... Until now! This is fluffy and puffy. It is very soft. I was hot the first night using a sheet, small blanket and this comforter. 2nd night just the sheet and comforter and it was better. I'm used to piling 5 blankets on myself. So this was weird to have such lightweight on me, but it was so warm. My husband was hot the first few nights, but last night we opened up the window and he was better. He said that he is getting used to it now and is really starting to like it. As a reference, we keep our thermostat around 60 at night. We might bump it down a little bit more. I have to say we also have a memory foam mattress that holds heat.. So that could be the reason we are feeling a little warmer than some. I'm sure adjusting the thermostat will help. It's soft and light, but hugs your body and makes you feel so luxurious, while keeping you warm and snuggly. I absolutely love it. This is made very well. Cotton shell is great quality. We will probably buy the light weight one for summer. I just cannot see us using this in the summer, unless we get a new bed with more airflow. I think if you are able to adjust your house temperature, you can't go wrong with the all season. I had a few questions and emailed the company, Globon. Oh boy, let me tell you about my splurge of the century – the Globon Goose Down Comforter California King. They say money can't buy happiness, but I'm pretty sure they haven't tried this cloud-like creation. First of all, this thing is enormous! It's so big it could double as a landing pad for Santa's sleigh. It practically swallows up my entire bed, sheets and all. You'll need a GPS to find your way out from under it, but trust me, you won't want to. Now, I'm a gal who loves to be toasty, but I also don't want to feel like I'm trapped in a sauna. This comforter strikes the perfect balance. It's like being wrapped in a warm hug from a friendly, non-sweaty polar bear. I sleep like a baby without the risk of overheating. And let's talk about smells, or the lack thereof. This comforter doesn't smell like a farm, which is a relief. No geese were harmed in the making of this masterpiece, and it shows. Fresh as a daisy. The loft on this thing is so high it's like it's trying to touch the stars. It's like sleeping on a cloud that ate another cloud for breakfast. Seriously, I've had dreams about this comforter. I'm so happy with this purchase that I'm seriously considering starting a cult dedicated to this comforter. You get a Globon Goose Down Comforter, and YOU get a Globon Goose Down Comforter! Received quickly, a few days from Amazon. Was concerned bout the negative reviews but they are not applicable to the product I received, see pictures. The blanket cells are not overstuffed as the pictures in the Amazon product description shows, but that said they are adequately filled, see picture of the cell in the sun that I have included. The picture of the overall queen sized shows a fluffy comforter after 12 hours out of the bag and manually fluffed. There is no smell and the cotton top is soft, not satin soft but close. No feathers coming out and the outer seams are triple stitched and complete. For the money this winter weight, which is substantial will give me warmth, in a 72 degree bedroom without being weighted down by a blanket, just what I am looking for. And yes I do sleep alone so I get the whole bed and blanket. ... show more
