I was pleasantly surprised by these boots. They fit well but a little tight with super thick socks on. I was worried my feet would get cold but they didn’t which is very rare for me. Living in Florida, my snow boots don’t see much action, so when my old pair fell apart right before a winter festival trip to Montreal, I ordered these GLOBALWIN Women’s Waterproof Winter Boots after reading tons of reviews. Temps ranged from -18°C to 4°C, and we were out all night until 3 AM in icy cold—perfect real-world test! I sized up half a size for potential double socks, but with just one pair of wool ones, my feet stayed toasty warm with plenty of room (could’ve gone true-to-size, but extra space was comfy and no blisters). The Thermolite insulation and soft faux fur lining did the job—no cold feet despite long exposure. They look fashionable : fit easily under boot-cut jeans or with wool leggings, and the decorative sock-like cuff adds a cute touch (I didn’t lace all the way up, but you can fold it up and do so for extra security). The toe cap felt solid after accidentally kicking curbs a few times—no damage. Metal grommets for laces didn’t set off airport detectors (huge relief—no shoe removal needed!). Only downside: On super icy sidewalks, the tread wasn’t as grippy as I’d hoped—I slipped a couple times and wished for deeper/more aggressive lugs for ultimate confidence in extreme ice. For the price (great value for occasional use every few years), they’re a fantastic purchase—warm, waterproof (feet stayed dry in slush/snow), stylish, and reliable. These boots are well made, warm, comfortable and totally waterproof. I ordered a half size up to wear with thicker socks. I've worn these probably a dozen times since purchasing them- including in a recent snow storm with 7 inches of accumulation and single digit temps and my feet stayed dry and warm. I would recommend wearing higher socks with these boots as the lacing doesn't go all the way up to the top of the boot. Definitely an excellent value for the money. ... show more

5 years later and these boots still look new! Impressed with the quality and comfort of these boots. I live in Minnesota so they have been used heavily for the past 5 winters. Today I was looking at the great shape they were in and wanted to share so others will know they are worth the purchase! Very comfy, warm, keep your feet dry.
