These boots are more sturdy than most, and truly stand on their own. They run a bit large. I usually size up for more room in boots. No need in this pair. The sole is thick rubber, fairly comfy. There is a slight heel, not a totally flat boot. Wish the zipper went all the way to top, but I have no trouble getting them on. I have a slightly large calf, 16 inches or so wide. Most lace ups I have to loosen to fit me, these I did not. The buckle strap in the back sits two inches lower than top of boot, so the widest part of my calf has room. This is very comfortable, but also allows the boot top to flare out a bit at the top. Pick your battles I suppose, lol! Overall, very happy with this purchase. They will be an easy grab and go pair for this winter. The grey is very deep, very pretty on.

I had an issue with my 1st pair in shipment and they rectified it immediately and sent my shipment out and I received them the very next day. Let's talk about the boots they are stylish and comfortable. I bought Khaki and they are a wonderful addition to your wardrobe and are very versatile can be worn to work or just out and about. First off, I’ve read all the reviews measure your calf. With that being said, I put these boots a few months ago in my cart. They were $65 at that time then about a week ago they popped up they were only $32. So I purchased them these are not what I would call an expensive boot even at 65. Every year I buy a well-made leather boot I spend upwards of $150-$200 so with that being said when I buy a $35 boot, I’m not expecting a miracle just something fun to wear.. And that’s what these are they are cute. My calf is 14 inches they are a little big but that’s fine. I wear an 8 1/2 I had on my husbands socks when I tried them on to see how big they would feel and I will say that if you are true to your size, and you don’t plan on wearing an extra thick sock, I might consider going down half a size bed for me. I was OK with it. Just because they have laces does not mean that they will make a serious difference on your calf. It’s more of a decoration as with the style that has the buckle at the top. They are not leather they are fabric or plether. The heel is about an inch and a half and it’s fairly quiet on tile and wood floors. I don’t know if they’re waterproof but it wouldn’t hurt to put a little waterproofing on them since they are fabric. I wear mine with a moderate sock and pants tucked in again I have a 14 inch calf I believe that these would work for someone all the way up to a 16 inch. They are cute, but these are not shoes that you invest a lot of money in. That’s why they’re in the fashion section if you wear them every day, you probably won’t get more than three months out of them, but I plan on wearing them as a fashion shoe not every day.
