I cannot properly convey how much I love these boots. They're faux leather and are soft to the touch. The material is malleable, so it contours to the shape of your calf nicely without feeling stiff or digging into your skin painfully. I found the boots to be fairly well constructed. The buckles work so you can give yourself that extra bit of room at the top if you need it or tighten them up. The soles of the boots are put together well. I didn't notice any gaps, looseness, or glue where the sole attaches to the boot. The boots were comfortable to wear all day too. The first time I wore these was for work, I paired them with a pair of jeggings for casual Friday. Despite this being the first time breaking them in, the boots were comfortable for all day wear. No pinching or blisters - they fit like a familiar pair of boots. What really impressed me is that I was able to get these in a size 10 and I didn't need a 10w or 11 - these actually fit true to size. Very impressed. I also liked that these boots didn't have any heel, making them safer to wear in treacherous footing conditions such as: over loose gravel, snow, wet ground, etc. It also makes them much more comfortable to wear if you are on your feet for extended periods of time. I would have liked these to have a bit of arch support though. I feel like is the only thing these were lacking in. I'm always worried about ordering knee high boots online, because I'm short and have pretty large calves from dance and horseback riding when I was younger. But these boots were cute and had good reviews, so I took a chance. And they're great! They fit fine, no tightness at all. If you have wide feet these won’t fit. Thankfully mine are not and they fit snuggly. The calf looks wide in the picture but it actually just lays around mine and isn’t tight or loose. They are very comfortable and I can see these being a long lasting purchase. The sole isn’t very padded but it also doesn’t seem to be making my feet hurt either. ... show more

These are cute enough but you can tell they are cheap shoes just looking at them. Then you put them on and the sole feels like a cheap thin plastic layer. These boots are seriously a let down. First of all, I get boots for roughly the same quality at the local shoe store chain for a quarter of what they want for these. They are highly uncomfortable to walk around in. And for my thick calved girlies - look somewhere else. These are nice boots and fit well overall, even my big(ish) calves. After wearing them for a while, they do pinch in the ankle. It could just be something with my feet rather than the boots, but after an hour or so I have to take them off.
