wasn't sure how securely it'd hold my mim standard strat but it seems rock solid. just be aware it's really lightweight so it's easy to kick it around etc when there isn't a guitar on it.

After a few days, I remain pretty happy with this stand. I'm using it hold an electric guitar, and I plan to try the stand with an acoustic guitar in the next few days. The stand was easy to assemble, seems robust, holds my guitar reasonably well, even when the strap hangs down and gets in the way. The 'padding' along the edges where the guitar makes contact with the stand seems to work well. I like this better than the ones that hold the neck of the guitar as in my case I'm storing the guitar on the floor of a closet and not in the middle of a room where holding the guitar neck might be more important. I am considering buying another one, and possibly a third if I retire a wall-rack I use sometimes. ... show more
