The theory is correct, but the shields are not universal whatsoever. They only fit a particular angle of glasses. And that is difficult to foresee when you buy them and try them. The manufacturer is deceptive and stating that they clip on to most classes because they do not. Therefore, I highly recommend no one by these. If you’re like me, you don’t like to have to return items to Amazon. And that would happen only if these manufacturers were more precise in their descriptions of their product. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that they're not particularly stylish. But they work well and the quality was what I expected. They're marked R and L, and installation was easy and fast (as was removal). They fit perfectly on my aviator style frames-- the glasses' side arms are very thin and round yet the shield stays in place well. They don't fit quite as perfectly on another Wayfarer-style pair-- the glasses' side arms are thick and the frame shape is less conducive. Lastly they fit pretty well on a pair with medium thickness side arms. But, the most important thing is that they did the job of sun/glare protection in the field. I didn't notice them at all while I was snowshoeing. ... show more

These are super soft. Actually, too soft. Additionally, I was sent 2 left side mediums and 2 right side larges. This is frustrating and not worth returning with the hassle that comes with that.
