Great little bass after a little setup. Purchased for grand daughter for christmas ( 5 years old ). Electronics are on the low end. as it sounds dirty on my bigger practice amp ( Ampeg Ba-115 ) but sounds ok on the Fender m-80 and the Peavey basic 40. She just loves the pink color, and fits her perfectly.

I've played bass guitar for years. My 10-year-old grandson shows an interest in taking after his grandfather. I didn't want to spend too much in case he loses interest, so I decided to purchase this short-scale electric bass guitar. It arrived today and I removed it from its packaging to give it a test drive. Setup, out of the box, appears pretty good. I tuned the bass and then ran it through my practice amp. I was VERY pleased! Intonation is good and the sound out of the bass impressed; so much so that my wife, in the other room, asked if it was actually the new bass. I got a little AC hum out of the amp when strings weren't being touched, but nothing I was concerned about, especially from an instrument at this price point. The only thing that remains to be seen is how eager my grandson is to learn the instrument. Highly recommended!

The action is terrible (the nut is too high and the bridge probably needs adjustment, after fixing the nut). The neck pickup was not working. On inspection the hot wire from the pickup was not connected (no signs it was ever soldered in). I repair and build electric basses and guitars. I bought this as a base to experiment with some unique pickups and preamps. And because short scales have a different sound characteristic. The bass I received I would not give to a child to play! The price fits with what you get!!

I wanted smaller bass for travel etc. Went thru 5 Uke Basses but they didn't work for me. Ordererd this little guy and the first one came with broken neck at the head glued area. I didn't give up and asked for replacement and it came in a few days. First of all it's not a toy but a well build guitar. I did spend some time on lowering nut, adjusting bridge and intonation and going thru frets to make them $$$ rollovered. It came nice. regardless such a small scale it plays good with regular strings. I was considering put a 5 string set (minus high G). So overall CNC works and woods are good. Assembly is poor, to be honest so it worth to take it apart and do it right.
