I would not recommend this dog house. I bought it on sale for $250, and I would still not recommend it even at that price. For starters, a bunch of the pieces were damaged right out of the box. Walls were warped, nails/brads sticking out of the wood, the divider wall was too long for the dimensions of the house and wouldn’t fit inside… if I didn’t already have all the necessary tools at home (drill, saw, etc) I never would have been able to build it. It is an okay dog house once you finally get it together, but again, it is absolutely not worth the price for what it is. ... show more

I disliked everything. Thought I was getting a slightly used useable doghouse at worst. Nope. If the pieces weren’t warped they were broken. The flooring could hold small dogs like 10-15 pounds. I have 25 pound to 90 pound dogs. Great look horrible wood used. No way it could handle a sprinkle

I work as a handyman, and have for many years, I have plenty of experience in carpentry and over the years I have assembled allot of different types of products for my clients. I have never seen such poor craftsmanship as when I assembled one of these dog houses for a client. I had to repair several parts straight out of the box. Many of the border trim pieces were loose in the box and needed to be glued and nailed back on before assembly. I was amazed to see that the reid nails used were too short to go through and securely attach to the intended part and there was only a tiny little bead of glue, from a hot glue gun no less. Hot glue is not intended to hold wooden parts together, it is only intended to hold until the part can be attached with the proper fasteners. Over all, this is a very poor quality product, and is extremely over priced. More research and development and better craftsmanship is required. ... show more

I tried to assemble this wood dog house first, It's not that hard, my mother had a companion dog in the country, so I bought the outdoor house for her little one, where she could lounge under the porch when the weather was nice. my mom can't wait to receive this gift.
