    • Gladiator cabinet review and installation

Finding a good quality cabinet without spending a lot is difficult. Even though the Gladiator cabinets are a little pricey, I decided to purchase one; then I got three more. From other reviews I've seen, many people said their cabinet came a little damaged. Mine did not, it was perfect and very well packaged. The cabinet arrived on time as well. It's a heavy box, so hopefully your delivery service will place it in a good place, so you don't have to much it very far. The instructions, while very detailed are hard to follow. I found a YouTube video which made is easy to put together. Just search for Gladiator cabinet; and you'll find a few. It's actually very easy to install. It will be more helpful with two people, but one person can do it. I installed mine by myself. Sometimes the holes don't align well - if that's the case, then likely you have something wrong. Also it will be very helpful to have a power screwdriver, like battery powered. There are many screws, so it makes easier and and faster work to install with one. It also comes with an allen wrench for the bigger screws. Once installed, the bottom casters are adjustable, so you can level it how you like. It's easier to finish the install near where you will place your cabinet. I placed my cabinet next to the one I'm replacing, then put the doors on. The doors open and close easily, and have magnets to hold the doors closed. If your doors don't open and close easily, then you likely installed something wrong. It comes with two adjustable shelves and 7 different locations to install them. The middle shelf has to be installed in the middle holes for the doors. I completed the install in about 45 minutes including watching the video; your time may vary. It's a great looking cabinet and a much better look then my old wood cabinet and will last much longer. I like the finish of this cabinet. Aesthetics blended with our Server Racks inside a Data Center. We used it to store small and expensive loose parts. For organizing light tools and parts, this isn't heavy duty grade but definitely gets the job done and looks aesthetically nice. I would get one again if needed. ... show more

My expectations when ordering Chinese goods is moderate often items are photographed in optimal environments and do not meet quality as described. This product was far more study and solid feeling Tham expected. The unit is not terriblly hard to assemble however having a 2nd person will make it go much faster. Be sure that the middle shelf is set properly to ensure that the lock engages as designed (I had to remove and reset) I would recommend this or possible buy other products from this line. ... show more

This is a great cabinet. Fairly easy to put together & looks very nice. The only downside is they never arrive without some damage. I’ve have gotten 5 over the last year & every one was damaged in shipping. Nothing bad but just small dents & dings. I just straighten them out best I can.     • Nice Cabinets, But Inspect and Be Aware of Some Details

Bought this large cabinet to store house paint and automotive fluids and the size and number of shelves works out well. The cabinet is pretty easy for two people to assemble, just take your time and read the steps before proceeding. I also bought the wall mounting kit so that the cabinet would be elevated off the floor. 1) Inspect all the panels before assembly. There were minor metal dings on most, but not all, of the panels and I was luck that most of them were on internal flanges or bends and wouldn't be noticeable once assembled. However, the base/bottom part was seriously kinked front and back. Rather than ship the whole kit back, I accepted a 30 day wait (part was out of stock) for a replacement. 2) If you're installing it on the wall Geartrack, install the six piece mounting system and hang the box before you install the two doors. 3) The design of the wall mounting system for the large box will be higher than the smaller wall mounted cabinets when you are using the same Geartrack panel, it WILL NOT be flush at the top. Check the pictures in the Gladiator catalog and you'll see the offset. Obviously, it can be made flush, just have to chop up some Geartrack. ... show more

Overall very happy with this tall cabinet: it was easy to assemble (even for one person; just needed to be 2 to move it to its final location), it feels pretty sturdy, and it has a lock. The storage capacity is has expected for the dimensions but I wish it was a little wider.
