To help you in your search: Pros: I've owned many placemats over the years, these are somewhat thicker than most but not overly so. The colors are deep and beautiful. The pattern is double sided which is great for a busy household like ours. Missed that stain and its too late to wash? Just flip it over, hey we aint fancy here. The size is standard for almost all placemats. You have to really hunt for a set larger than these. The border seams seem stitched well. Cons: As mentioned , the mats are double sided and not skid resistant like others so if you set them on your oak dining room table without a table cloth they may move on you. But the material is NOT slick. They do have some sticking power, The seams are tight and the stitching good as mentioned but you may have to snip a few stray strands when you first get them. Your gonna need to iron these as well when you first get them to get the creases out, (Did I mention they are thickish?) ... show more

I love these placemats! The colors are great and they go with my snowflake table runners very nicely (though not exactly the same pattern). They are a kinda different fabric but they do wash off easily. When they arrived, they had been folded in quarters and I was concerned that the wrinkles would not come out, but they did, easily.
