This helmet is super lightweight and very easy to get the right fit. I can’t attest to how it holds up in a crash (thankfully), the MIPS system gives me piece of mind. Pun intended. The visor that comes with it is a little flimsy, and can easily pop off. That would be my biggest complaint, because overall this helmet is a comfy beast. ... show more

Giro is my favorite helmet brand but the lower half of their product range has become "Universal Adult" (one size fits all) which isn't ideal. My 58-cm head size falls near the top of Giro's range for a "Medium" and their medium helmets fit me perfectly. The fit, finish, features, and quality of the Artex MIPS helmet is excellent - it's my new favorite helmet. I like it that I can easily remove the visor for road use when I'm not on a mountain bike. Yes, the straps from the MIPS liner do touch my temples but that's common with MIPS helmets. On a non-MIPS helmet, the straps usually connect to the helmet shell (rather than to the helmet liner) putting them away from your face a little.
