  • Easier than you think, get the right tools.
I've had my Mavic Pro Platinum for 2 years and I've loved flying it. Last week I was flying in sport mode and got fixated on the screen, then looked up to find the drone, which can be hard to do when it is going 35 mph at 30 feet and between me and the sun. I finally was able to find it but by that time it was headed straight for a tree and being in sport mode, obstacle avoidance was disabled. It slammed into the canopy of the tree and tumbled to the ground hitting with a sickening thud. Somehow the battery and ejected from the drone. I put the battery back in and it flew but the gimbal was giving me errors. I tried to calibrate the gimbal and suddenly there was a horrible grinding noise when the cooling fan kicked in. I had not only broken the gimbal but I had also damaged the fan. I tried to find the parts on the DJI website with no luck. Then I searched Amazon and found this gimbal. It arrived along with the fan from another vendor the next day. It was in original DJI packaging and the gimbal was encased in a giant block of foam. Very well protected. After a few YouTube videos I dove in and started taking the drone apart. It was scary at first because I was afraid to break things but it is a pretty hardy bird. It's well built and with the right tools it came apart pretty easily. I was able to replace both the gimbal and the fan I under an hour. When I turned it back on I had to recalibrate the compass, the IMU and the gimbal but it only took me about 5 minutes and I was back up and flying. The part was perfect and as advertised. It sure beat shelling out $1200 for another drone. ... show more

  • Original DJI part, drone camera working again after brutal crash
I crashed my Mavic Pro about 20 meters high against a tree and it took a very rough fall (honestly, I don't know how it survived). It would still fly after the crash but the gimbal was completely broken. The camera would just endlessly move around in unpredictable ways similar to how it moves when you turn the drone on, the controller wheel to tilt the camera wasn't responding and the DJI Go 4 app was showing error messages related to the gimbal (I don't remember the exact wording but something to the effect of "failed to stabilize gimbal" or "make sure the gimbal clamp is removed"). I ordered this replacement and installed it following a couple of YouTube instructional videos and the new camera is working perfectly! (Search for "DJI Mavic how to replace the gimbal ribbon" on YouTube for very detailed instructions.) Make sure to go to the Camera Settings and select "Calibrate Gimbal" after you install it. The toolset I used was Nanch Precision Small Screwdriver Set with 22 Bits (it has the two screwdrivers that you'll need, which are Hex 1.5mm and Philips PH0). ... show more

  • Not cheap, is the real thing
I haven't had good luck with cheap gimbal/camera replacements but these are in DJI packaging and I haven't had any problems. The connectors on these things might be the smallest known to man these days and if everything's not perfect nothing works. With a good replacement, including the vibe board and everything that screws to the chassis, a Mavic Pro camera is a relatively easy replacement. It only needs a little metric hex wrench, a tiny phillips screwdriver, maybe some tweezers, a magnifier to cinch the connectors, and a pry tool to do the job... ... show more

  • Only. Worked for a few minutes
It came in DJI packaging.. or at least it appeared to have. It worked immediately after install but the picture was very dark. It was like looking thru a tinted window but it worked. After using it maybe 15 minutes over 4 or 5 short flights it stopped working altogether. It took me awhile to get around to checking it out. All the plugs are in tact and physically looks brand new still BUT doesn’t work. No wrecks, always use gimble protector and a DJI brand case. Outside of the return window by a couple weeks and am SOL. So my drone sits on the shelf once again! :-( ... show more

  • Keep you're old mounting platform.
Seems to be quality product. It came in dji packaging. Should have been a drop in replacement but the screw holes I felt were drilled too small. It was impossible to turn the screws to the black plastic mounting piece everything is attached to. They were so hard that it got to the point I was worried about stripping out the screws. I ended up pulling the rubber band gimbal stabilizers out and used the old black plastic mount and swapped all the new components over to it. Other than that it works great and calibrated fine. If anything happens I'll update this. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
Took me about 75 minutes to replace the camera and the fan. Assuming you've got the right screwdrivers the replacement is pretty easy. Be careful though... the video walkthrough I found on Youtube only mentioned 2 ribbon cables on the camera when, in fact, there are 4. The front two were sort of glued on, so they weren't easy to see... so I ended up ripping them both. Now I get to replace the front collision avoidance sensors. Anyways, I'm pretty happy that I was able to repair the camera on my drone with this part relatively easily/cheaply (compared to the price of a whole new drone). Would buy again... but hopefully that won't be necessary. ... show more

  • Awesome camera from a awesome seller.
Definitely a good buy. I am very glad I bought this camera. I bought one on eBay and was defective from China. This came in a dji bag that was sealed and came very protected in foam box. I couldn't be happier. I had broke my ribbon from a crash and made several failed attempts to repair it and just waisting money. I would definitely buy from seller again. This is a authentic DJI MAVIC PRO CAMERA. SUPER EASY TO INSTALL. Back flying in less then 20 minutes. ... show more

  • Fixed my drone
My drone had an issue with the gimbal not operating. Tried to replace the ribbon but this still not fix it. Read the board could be the issue. Purchased this, replaced it in about 15 minutes, and the drone works like new. Pricey but it is an original unit.
