As you can see from the picture, size M is a little loose, which I prefer, so I can wear a thin long sleeve shirt on a colder day. The length is perfect. Terrible persistant chemical smell that fills any room and effects sinuses. This chemical smell has not aired out with days hanging outside in the sunlight and breeze. Two quite stiff, neck tags with sharp corners that are not fabric and can only be entirely removed by cutting out the neck seam. Rough fabric. I used to buy Gildan sweatshirts at the Big Five sportswear and they were always excellent sweatshirts in every way, and under $10 with coupon. This terrible product might be from one of those companies that buy a brand name and exploit it with no concern for quality or useability. Another Gildan sweatshirt bought at the same time from a different Amazon vendor also has a persistant chemical smell but not quite as terrible.

Could not find colors I wanted in womens sweat shirts so went to mens. Hanes was way to big in a medium so I washed it in hot water but the shoulders were still way too big. This sweat shirt in medium fits me way better then the Hanes. If it just shrinks a little it will be perfect. If it doesn't I will still keep it because it looks good as is and it is just to wear around the house. It also was sent faster then expected. I'm happy. If they had more colors in this size that I want, I would buy them but they are all sold out in the colors I want, so I have to buy more Hanes and live with the shoulders looking so darn big on me. For any women out there looking for a sweat shirt I do not have big shoulders so mens shirts are usually a problem for me. If this shrinks too much after washing I will edit this, but I hope not.

UPDATE: I ordered this in a small. It’s quite a bit smaller and I didn’t find it flattering in the slightest. Returning the medium was no problem but to return the size small I had to submit a request and will get notified in 2 days IF they will allow returns and how to return it if they do. Am I the only one who thinks returns should be standard between the same item????? To be clear: I would give the size medium a 5 star review despite it being a bit large. The small gets 2 stars at best due to lame return policy. Bigger than expected. I ordered a medium but think I would feel more comfortable in a small. If you want a bulky look size up get normal size for a more fit look. Sweater is pretty thick. 5’4 146lbs for reference.

Never wore Gildan before. Bought a black t-shirt and this sweatshirt in the course of a week. The sleeves on the t-shirt were cut too short (fit fine everywhere else), and this sweatshirt is not only a little too large at the chest, but also irregular at the neck. The extra material from the chest bunches up (like a curtain) where the chest material meets the neck. It's not terribly noticeable, but very obvious once you notice it. And it never goes away. If sweatshirt choir robes ever become a thing, Gildan will be a great choice for production. I'll be able to use this for working outside, won't wear out in public. My Gildan experiment has concluded. Peace.

I am female that usually wears a 12 but purposely got men’s sweatshirts large. First of all because they had the best selection of crew necks and I happen to like them large enough to wear over shirts. The sweatshirt could be a little heavier, but otherwise it is well made, soft, and comfortable. So far it seems durable.

I love this sweatshirt. I bought it for myself. Now I am short, fat, and dumpy (LOL) & it is hard to find clothes to fit. I weigh 180 lbs. and am 5'2" & this shirt fits me a little large & probably a large size would have fit me better--but I like a shirt that is roomy and non-binding so this sweatshirt fits my needs. It hangs a little off the shoulder. It is not a deep red, has a little hint of pink. It is so warm and soft. Just the right thickness for me. I would buy this sweatshirt again.
