The Gildan brand name has an excellent reputation for offering the customer good value for the price and in this case also a pretty good fit. The shirt is 100% polyester with no spandex, nylon or elastane so it can be easily tossed in the dryer and comes out practically wrinkle free. These shirts also show quality stitching around the collar including the seams underarm. (SEE PIC) The collar laid comfortably flat around the neck. I had no issues with it appearing oversized like some reviewers stated when they first tried it on or after it was washed. I guess you can say it's true to size. However. I upgraded just one size out of concern it might fit too snug against my abdomen. I think in my case it was probably a wise choice. I live in Florida so the benefit of moisture wicking is an absolute must. These shirts help keep me drier on the outside which is something I really appreciated. Once you take the shirt off it also dries much faster in comparison to a typical cotton/polyester shirt. I wore mine for 8 hours which I consider a long time and I had no embarrassing perspiration stains afterwards showing anywhere on the shirt. Granted there's some off-brand shirts out there being sold here at Amazon which are a little cheaper. However, I trust that the Gildan brand will likely hold up much better wash after wash without premature puff balls appearing like you'll often see on the cheaper brand shirts. Great shirts! I’m a tee shirt guy, but have always had an issue finding good navy tee shirts. Nice blend of materials and the feel is slightly thinner than a standard cotton tee. Not sure how, but the equivalent sizes are notably smaller than previous ones by Gildan. Still the same amazing level of comfort though! See pic - the older one (also L) is underneath the one just delivered.
