I have a Gigastone 256GB card and its capacity is the typical vendor decimal defined 256 billion bytes: 256,020,316,160 bytes (238GB). This "512GB" version came with a "500GB" capacity: 500,259,749,888 bytes (465GB). Doesn't seem like much, but why can't they just be honest in the description and sell this as a 500GB card? I feel like they are taking advantage of naive users who gloss over the big digits and assume it's the normal decimal>binary conversion difference. ... show more

2019-05-19: This is for the 5-pack of UHS-1 microSD cards. Having just received them, I checked each of them and they are all functional. They're pretty fast, as you see in the test results that others have posted, which are similar to mine. All five cards I received performed similarly though not quite identically. For the price, they're quite good. But I can't speak to the longevity yet. If one fails, I will report back. Otherwise, they've earned the five stars. ... show more

I purchased the 512GB Gigastone MicroSDXC card and was a little skeptical but it's the real deal. Passed tests with FAKEFLASHTEST v1.1.1 and H2testw . The card tested as 98MB/s read and 59MB/s write in Crystal Disk Mark v8.0 making it a mid-range speed, although it is slow for writing compared to the manufacturer's claimed speed of 80MB/s. This was a single test with a single card reader on a specific card, YMMV. For buying a legitimate large capacity card with "OK" speed this is one of the better choices. ... show more

I ordered these as they appeared to be a great value (5x 64G) but when trying to copy files to the first one, it wouldn't stop reporting as write protected. I kept trying using multiple computers/laptops/devices, and even different adapters, without ever being able to write data to it. Eventually I gave up and tried the next one in the pack, with the exact same experience. The next one I tried worked fine right away, so then I tested the final two and only one of them worked, for a 3 out of 5 failure rate. I requested replacement from Amazon which arrived next day, and immediately tested all 5 to find only a single card failing as write protected. Still a 20% initial failure rate, but I'll keep one of the original working cards and send back 4 bad cards with a single good one in return to Amazon. If any fail in the next couple weeks, I'll spend better money on Samsung or SanDisk which have never failed for me. ... show more

My boyfriend and I purchased these card late April, we have otterbox cases on our galaxy 8's. None of our phones have gotten wet. These cards originally saved photos my boyfriend and I transferred to these micro SD cards. After having them for 1 month both of us are missing photos. All photos taken prior to inserting and transferring files onto the SD card (referencing Verizon's recommendations). All photos from the past 2 years 20-40 GB up until the day we insterted the SD card are gone. We have been checking every two weeks that the SD card and previous photos were still on our phone. We are not sure why these micro SD cards no longer have our pictures...No longer are recognizable to our cell phones... no longer recognizable to my laptop with the SD converter. I would not recommend this product if you want to keep your files. We tried these and it has only been 6 weeks... very disappointing! ... show more

I've been burned before by cheap-ish cards on Amazon, where the cards would fail testing (typically by spoofing the reported capacity vs the actual capacity). So when I came across this 5-pack of 64 GB micro sd cards, I was skeptical. Thankfully, all 5 cards passed testing via F3X, wherein the cards were each subjected to a ~2 hour write test followed by a read test. Recommended. ... show more
