Cannot speak about durability yet, but this will go in my dashcam and if any issues I will update here. I performed basic tests to ensure 64GB capacity and full write/read tests followed by speed test. So far so good, it lives up to its specifications: up to 95Mb/s read speed and pretty good write speed (up to 45MB/s). This is my 2nd Gigastone product and I would say they have a great price/performance ratio. If they also live up to their promise regarding Warranty, I'm pretty sure they may become an important player on this market niche. *** UPDATE after 28 months: this card it is still in my dashcam and continues recording, never had an issue, I'm starting to believe it will outlive my dashcam... ... show more

    • TERRIBLE customer service from Gigastone for defective card!

I have used a few Gigastone SD cards over the years and never had a problem. This 256 GB card was different though. I took about 20 GB of photos at a wedding, attempted to download to my PC, and the card froze. DEAD CARD. The dreaded "this card is read-only" message. I work in IT, and my staff and I tried to resurrect the card, but nothing. We haven't even been able to retrieve the data. Card is completely defective, and here's the sad part: Gigastone Customer Service is doing absolutely nothing to rectify this. Or even just replace the card. After weeks and weeks of trying to contact them, I was finally successful! But they just keep asking BS questions about system info that I've already sent them. And I said I'd be willing to just have the card replaced - I can accept the data loss Unhappily. But Gigastone won't even respond. And we all know what useless crap Amazon's customer service is. So DO NOT buy this card. Bad qual y'all! Stick with SanDisk, Corsair, Toshiba, etc... I'll never buy a Gigastone Card again, and have directed my stuff to drop them from our supplier list and am letting clients know about this. Petty as it is. Sheesh! I got this SD card a few weeks ago. I have loaded it fully and emptied it several times its fast reliable and just works. I think this is one of the best deals on Amazon...Shhhhhh if people find out its such a good deal they might sell out. I bought (3) more.

i use this chip for my new go pro hero5 and it works for the most part when i film video 2.7k 60 FPS but it glitches every few minutes and i took screenshots to show you. maybe its a defective chip or maybe all of the chips do this. im not sure but i will probably return it and try another one. if the problem continues ill return the second one and try another brand. sandisk to me is the best but its so much more money i wanted to try this one... here is the photo you can see the purple lines across the entire video.. bummer ... show more

    • Really Great Value in 2020
This review is taking place in 2020, At the time of the review these are really great priced SD cards. I am using them for my Wyze Cameras, they give me huge capacities for recording camera footage. I have had no issues and no failures with either card. Great value, great product.

I already own a Gigastone 4K Game pro (red) for over 2 years now and it is still running in my dash cam, no issues. Just received the this black version and I decided to use the same ATTO Disk benchmark and as you can see in attached picture, this one is getting 40MB/s write and over 90MB/s read! That is great! Strange thing, with the red version I am getting 20MB/s write and 150MB/s read!?! One of these cards will go into a surveillance cam, the other one will be a backup. But here's the 'bad' thing: I tested the 2nd card and to my surprise, the speeds are in 28MB/s W and 42MB/s R (second pic). I repeated both tests a couple of times, I also changed the card reader (both USB 3), but the test results were consistent, one card it is fast, the other one, not so fast... So, good luck to you! ... show more
