    • Great mobo to upgrade my 30 year old PC.
It's been about thirty years since I built my first PC (AMD 386-DX40 mini tower) I recently retired from programming and wanted to update my first PC. My youngest boy gave me his old empty Corsair gaming case he'd stripped completely down. After cleaning the case I began assembly. I used my Fire tablet to buy a new Power Supply from Amazon for $30. The mobo purchased was an Amazon returned item, and cost only $75. The included booklet made installation simple. The cost of a new CPU scared me so I sourced some used items... I found an I3-10100f CPU, and 16gb of DDR4-3200 ram on Market Place for $60. During Amazon Sale days I picked up an 1tb M.2 drive for $30. I bought a new 64gb USB 3.2 thumbdrive from Bestbuy with my gift card from last Christmas $12 I downloaded Ubuntu/Mint, ReactOS, and Virtual Box, on my sons pc. With my nused pc I'm up and running. This system cost me very little to build and it is a little faster than my old 386. I am installing my old software and tool in Virtual Box. I love tech, but I still like to think and solve problems by writing Computer programs. Don't ever let tech rob you from learning and becoming an old creative sole. As far as this Product goes... 1. The instructions need to be written for a wider audience. Even AI could have done a better job. 2. The hardware was plug and play. 3. The Mobo included (wifi, blu-tooth, Harddrive M.2 slots & support. 4. The CPU I chose required me to get a Video card. My son had plenty of old ones. It worked well after and Linux found the correct driver during install. 5. I'd buy this again and again if I could get the same price and needed another pc. We all deserve as many good things in life as we work for. Sometimes we live long enough to get and enjoy them. Unfortunately this board did not work well with what I had. But overall the board itself was nice and performed well. Just did not work with what I had.

    • Not terribly impressed
My first gigabyte board, coming from ASUS due to recent quality control issues with networking hardware on Intel boards. This board has great IO, on board headers, I’m very happy with build quality and expansion but the bios is terrible, and literally any hardware change and bios will clear and take 4-5 min to post in bios safe mode, then restart once or twice then have to change all the bios settings again. This is not a very new builder friendly board, I had hours of troubleshooting to get it to even post. Really hopeful a future bios update will fix this, better than hardware issues though. ... show more

Good overall gaming motherboard. The BIOS layout/menu is a bit annoying and confusing at times, but once you figure it out it's easy to make it do what you want. It has plenty of features, easy to flash the BIOS with a bootable flash drive. The wifi and Ethernet don't always play nice though. Spotify will work on wifi but not on Ethernet, in spite of extensive patching. Still serviceable, but a bit disappointing. I expected better of Gigabyte. ... show more
