My daughter adores crafting and this gave her a lot of material to work with. She is still using it to come up with tons of ideas and is enjoying the versatility of what was inside it. As with any craft able item, there are a lot of things to work with which can mean a big mess if you don't have an area set up for the crafts to be done. The journal wasn't large, but it does have a decent enough amount of pages for a starter- that said, I believe this is perfect for any child looking to expand their horizons into different artistic areas.

This is so perfect for my little niece. She loves arts and crafts and scrapbooking so she was really into this. The set comes with a variety of different supplies from pens to tape rolls to stickers and so on. Everything works great and it's just fun and colorful. It definitely brings out a more creative side of her. She's really loving it!

This is a great first journal set for an elementary school or older age child. There’s lots of extras, and it’s almost a scrapbook with the amount of fun accessories it comes with. This is the kind of set that I keep on hand for new foster placements so that there’s a special gift on their bed when they arrive to write down their feelings and experiences. The journal is beautiful and easy to write on with minimal bleed between the pages with a regular pen or marker, and the cover is durable and this is definitely a set I’ll be buying again for the next time I have an emergency placement and have to rush to get their bed and new belongings together. It’s great to be able to say to a new child in my home, “I know moving homes is hard and sometimes scary, and this is a place that you can write down and draw your feelings.” This is also a great gift for any kid who wants to get into writing and journaling. Very giftable and something that can be treasured for years as a child grows and can go back and reflect on their experiences and thoughts.
