My daughter adores crafting and this gave her a lot of material to work with. She is still using it to come up with tons of ideas and is enjoying the versatility of what was inside it. As with any craft able item, there are a lot of things to work with which can mean a big mess if you don't have an area set up for the crafts to be done. This is a great first journal set for an elementary school or older age child. There’s lots of extras, and it’s almost a scrapbook with the amount of fun accessories it comes with. This is the kind of set that I keep on hand for new foster placements so that there’s a special gift on their bed when they arrive to write down their feelings and experiences. The journal is beautiful and easy to write on with minimal bleed between the pages with a regular pen or marker, and the cover is durable and this is definitely a set I’ll be buying again for the next time I have an emergency placement and have to rush to get their bed and new belongings together.
