  • Excellent educational toy
I’m a grandmother of 4 young, busy and curious children ranging from 8 to 2. I’m always looking for toys that are not only appeal to a wide age group but that is also educational and engaging. Plugo fit the bill on this one. We received the Piano as a prize and decided to give the letters and numbers a try as well. First I have to say the quality of the product is very nice and our Samsung tablets fit perfect. The downloadable app was very easy to install and allows you to customize the learning levels according to age or learning levels. My grandson loved the letters as he’s in kindergarten and is eagerly learning to read. It is fun to hear his delight when he learns a new word. He also tried the numbers and loved the space ship app. My 8 and 6 year old granddaughters are both excited to give the piano a try as they are both learning to read music. My youngest granddaughter who is 2 loved playing with the piano as well. She has a bit more to go before she’ll get a chance to use this system but, it’s nice to know a quality toys will be waiting. We are hoping to try out more of the sets like the plugo link, slingshot, steer and orboot. Thank you Plugo for a quality, educational and engaging toy. ... show more

  • Perfect for learning through play and STEAM
We are a homeschooling family that focuses on learning through play. We love to make learning exciting through different ways to engage the learner. I have been looking for a great way to make spelling/ grammar fun and so glad I came across Plugo. My kids were excited to open the box and it was an easy set up. You set up the base and the machine on the magnetic part of the base and it clicks so easily. The app engages the kids in a friendly and upbeat way that gets them excited for their lesson. I found this was great for a wide range of ages in which my 3, 5 and even 9yo were excited to learn and play. My 9yo finds spelling a little harder than math so he has always been hesitant but not with Plugo! We have started to use this for our homeschool lessons. You can even make a profile for each child to track their progress. You can pick what grade you want for your child to determine how hard or easy you want it. My 5yo has an easier time with recognizing words so he does 1st grade reading. My 3yo does Pre-k and it is age appropriate for all of them. There are different games to keep them engaged and my kids will pick a favorite. If you are homeschooling this year (2020), this is a great addition to learning materials! ... show more

  • Really nice toy
I got this for my 4 year old and she loves it. The set up was really quick and easy. The app also works nicely, my daughter can navigate it herself and have a good time playing independently. We did have an issue with some of the letters not working but it may have been user error. Overall I think it’s great. A fun way to learn how to spell and sound out words other than typical flash cards and repetition. It also seems sturdy. I don’t worry about wear and tear ... show more

  • Es una buena herramienta
Buena herramienta para los niños aprender, lo único malo es que el software no guarda el progreso del juego y cada vez hay que comenzar desde el principio.

  • Missing the letter “L” : Revised
Revised: Since my last review, the company has fixed the problem and sent us a “L”. I have change my stars to a five. My child loves using this product now. Old: I think this would be a good product, however ours was missing the letter “L” which means we are unable to use it.

  • Good product, but you should know a few things.
Firstly, the product is pretty good overall. My preschool aged daughter thinks it's pretty fun, the app comes with several games. To say there are several games is slightly misleading, though. It's more like there is one game dressed up and presented in several different ways, but that's understandable and expected. The app you need to download for this product isn't available on Fire 10, and that's a pretty big strike for me, meriting a star deduction on its own. For $60, the product ought to be supported on common platforms. There are also a few reservations I have with the business practices connected to this product. Firstly, users must register an account from the app to use this product. We all know why, of course; Plugo wants either to send marketing emails to your registered account or it wants to collect data on the users (which in this case, includes young children) or both. Given that you're paying $60 up front for the plastic set to use the app, you're going to register the account, but there is nothing about the application itself which ought to require registration. Secondly, Plugo will try to sell you an additional subscription service from the app. This isn't to say I wouldn't recommend this product (I even would recommend it pretty enthusiastically were it not for the aforementioned platform restrictions), but understand that this product is part of a long-term monetization strategy based on marketing, data collection, and subscription services as much as it based on the initial sale. ... show more

  • Wow! Money Well Spent! Great Learning game for Teaching reading and Spelling!
The media could not be loaded. Great job Plugo! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I bought this - the reviews were good but I wasn’t 100% confident this would work for us. I have a 5yr old, Kindergartener who needed a great game that he could use independently but still learn from. I’m both homeschooling and working during the game and I needed a viable solution to giving him work to do while I took calls or answered emails. I’m happy to say, this is it! It was easy to setup and use straight out the box. The letter tiles come in their own little storage drawer and the magnetic base sticks to the drawer. My son figured that out before I did! After registering, he jumped right into the first game. Easy Peasy. After watching him play for awhile (which was guided, yet still taught each word with fun animations), I left the room to take care of a few things. I was gone longer than anticipated but when I got back he was still happily playing. My son can have a short attention span at times. This game held his attention and I could also see he was getting better with each additional level. I am impressed! I think I have the perfect game for school this fall. Want one other tip? When I told him to put it away, he did it BY HIMSELF! I’m going to definitely look into buying the other games in this series. ... show more
