Features

  • PLUGO LETTERS is an AR-powered word building game kit that combines the goodness of hands-on learning and healthy screen-time. Spell with alphabet tiles, grow your vocabulary, and improve grammar with story-based games. Watch the video to catch it in action
  • STEM, STEAM & everything in between - sharpen your linguistic, reading, comprehension, cognitive, and motor skills. There are introductory spelling games for kids which teaches spellings through phonics (ABCs). The words making games for kids 6 years+ focus on word usage in sentences, grammar, and language concepts like nouns, verbs, tenses, etc
  • AGES 4-10 - Plugo Letters is the perfect words making games for kids 4 years onwards. Plugo app has 9 interactive games and 250+ levels that make learning super fun (no in-app purchases). More importantly, the app adapts these word building games to the childs grade from pre-K to 4 for a progressive educational journey
  • IN THE BOX - The kit contains a Letters Trunk and 48 letter tiles. Spell with tiles on the Trunk, and put them all inside to store away. Unlike magnetic alphabets for kids or digital games that allow kids to tap directly on the screen, Plugo Letters comes with a gamepad, which is a foldable mat with embedded magnets to hold the Plugo kit on one side, and your device goes in the slot on the other side. Hands-on learning without touching the screen!

  • Entertaining and educational
Style: Letters
After doing some online search, I came across a children's game that appeared to be both entertaining and educational. As a parent, I value the benefits of gaming for children, while also prioritizing the inclusion of educational content. The game in question is known as Plugo and is developed by PlayShifu. Specifically, we opted to purchase the spelling and grammar kit. The setup process was relatively straightforward, with the most time-consuming aspect being the creation of an account. We utilized our daughter's Amazon tablet to access the game, which is compatible with a wide range of platforms. Although we needed to remove the tablet from its protective case, the game provides a secure holder for the device. The game mat is foldable and equipped with magnetic components to secure the letter tiles. Plugo offers a range of engaging activities that enhance vocabulary, foster letter recognition, develop problem-solving skills, and improve hand-eye coordination. The game is adaptable to various grade levels and targets key language concepts such as phonics, pronouns, spelling, sight words, prepositions, nouns, and verbs. I am pleased to report that my 7-year-old daughter has spent over an hour engrossed in these educational games, demonstrating sustained interest and enjoyment. As a parent, witnessing her engagement and learning is truly gratifying. Plugo is designed for children aged 4-10 and features customizable learning levels to cater to individual needs. I wholeheartedly recommend the Plugo Letters Spelling and Grammar Kit, as it offers a valuable learning resource for households with children within this age range. ... show more

  • Perfect STEM game
Style: Count
I got this for my 5- and 8-year-old, and it was a hit! They both love STEM toys, and so do I, since they make learning fun while keeping those curious little brains engaged. This one did not disappoint—it turned math practice into an interactive and exciting game rather than just another lesson. One of the best features is the ability to select different difficulty levels, so both of my kids could find something suited to them. My younger one could start with the basics, while my older child got more of a challenge, making it a toy they can grow with. The combination of hands-on play and digital interaction kept them interested for much longer than I expected. If you're looking for a fun, educational toy that actually holds kids' attention while reinforcing math skills, this is a great choice. It’s a fantastic way to make learning feel like play! ... show more

  • Fun for littles!

This is the perfect kit for back to school! Our kids love the interactive games and storylines. It keeps them engaged for sure. Tip: make sure to follow the set up exactly and let the gray calibrate so that the letters register correctly. If you don’t, it gets really touchy and some of the letters don’t register. We also thought it would be better if the pad was one panel less or move the tray up one panel so that it doesn’t sit on the edge/so far from the screen. The pad with panels just seems a little too long but it isn’t the worst thing just takes up a bit of space. We do also wish the tray was bigger but it’s not the worst. We have the kids lay the letters out on the table to help them find them quicker than digging through the tray. Other than that, we love it. It’s definitely worth the price. Plus it’s semi compact so can be easily packed and accompany you on your travels. We love that we can set up different kid profiles and it customizes the games for the player. The color scheme is great too! ... show more

  • From a early childhood educator- great game with 1 small problem
Style: Count
My review as a mom who also has an early childhood education teaching degree. Overall a great game with 1 small problem that could be improved. Pro: Works for variety of ages. I have a 7, 5, and 3 year old who all have content good for their ages. The game is engaging and fully educational in content. The number manipulative make it more hands-on than just clicking the number on a screen line in traditional apps. My one issue: For my youngest child who is learning number basics and how to identify numbers on sight (the basic level), the FONTS on some of the number manipulatives are not all ideal. Specifically the “4” and “9”. The numbers on the manipulatives are in a font that (while common and one that children need to learn to recognize as they grow) is not the same font that teachers traditionally use when first teaching children to read and write their numbers/giving number exposure. I included a picture showing what I mean and which fonts I think would have been better for our super early learners. ... show more

  • Not happy

This device does not work well. Perhaps it is because we have a regular tablet and not an ipad. I had to turn the tablet over to the left so the top front camera would be on the left. The concept is nice but after downloading the app, the reader struggled to recognize when we spelled the words correctly. Now because the app doesn't recognize that we've completed the word, it can't advance. The kids have left me to figure it out. I'm going to keep searching for an easier way to make learning fun. ... show more
