this exhaust system is truly bolt on I have an 05 Sequoia if you don't have a good grinder, zawsaw, or torch to remove the old hangers, take it somewhere I was fortunate enough to be able to use a lift at work which made the adjustment of the pipes easy sounds great gives it a throaty sound not much mpg improvement, but I also added a cold air intake at the same time I am happy with the purchase amazon had the best price on the net ... show more

    • pick up extra parts before you start
Kit seems ok, quality is good, just make sure you pick up gaskets for the install, Gibson seems to be to cheap to include them, I had to drive 120 miles round trip to pick up 2 three dollar gaskets. was not to happy about it, otherwise everything seems ok.

I bought the Gibson (18900) exhaust system for my later model 2003 Toyota Sequoia 2wd limited. I must say that this is a true bolt-on DIY system. The instructions are good but if you go on the web you can find install video's for this project, this will make it a bit easier.The one draw back the i had with the install not the Gibson exhaust was with the removal of my stock exhaust. Aside from that minor obstacle, the exhaust system went on very smoothly. All joking aside it took less than 2 hrs in my driveway without more than manual tools and a floor jack. Best performance for the buck, on the low end of the RPM's you get a very low throaty sound and as you go through the gears it sounds nice and crisp. You can feel the increase of the horsepower in the middle of the power band at around 2500 to 3500 RPM. Other key points you will definitely get a small increase in fuel consumption, however if you like going through the gears chances are you wont notice this increase. Lastly, I started what i called my SUV Grocery Getter project with 245HP stock. After a BullyDog chip, K&N Air intake, Iridium Plugs, B&A fuel delivery system and now the Gibson exhaust it sits at nice 350HP now. If you want the sound and performance from the Gibson 18900 go and buy it you wont go wrong,Gibson offers a stainless system but it's not worth the dollars unless your going for show and even then you can find a nicer looking system if that were the case, good luck ... ... show more
