I have to say I was a little afraid to order this, as there were lots of complaints of damage and poor quality. And I'd hate to have to ship something so large back. But I really liked the way it looked in the pictures. It's a modern design with almost an Asian flair. I'm happy to report that it arrived undamaged and was very easy to assemble. You only have to attach the top and legs. I have wanted a jewelry armoire for many years, but had been unable to find one that was big enough. I have a lot of costume jewelry, and have been keeping it in an assortment of small jewelry boxes, and cigar boxes. This armoire is about waist high, and has nine drawers, a compartment under the lid, and a door on each side for hanging necklaces. Some of the drawers have dividers, and some do not, so the different drawers can accommodate everything from folded scarves to rings. Because I have a lot of small items, I also purchased a set of inserts to put in the drawers that did not have dividers. The armoire required minimal assembly: I just had to attach the lid and the legs, which were not difficult to do. At this price point, obviously, it is not fine handcrafted furniture, but it is sturdy enough, given that nobody is going to be sitting on it or sleeping on it. ... show more

Do not purchase this product. This could have been a nice cabinet but it's so flawed it's ridiculous. Scratched, bad staining that didn't even cover the entire piece, so small and lightweight it doesn't even stand up straight...could go on but it's not worth it. The top piece of jewelry chest was delivered with a large scratch on the lid of chest . This was a Christmas gift therefore just taken out to be put together. Disappointing! Otherwise quality seems nice!
