I love the firmness and thickness of this product. It really supports my lower back when doing floor exercises. I’ve purchased other mats before that has very flimsy/weak milling that could provide the necessary resistance and support to my lower back when I’m lying flat or rolling up for crunches, sit-ups or any Pilates type exercises. My floors are hardwood, and regular yoga mats just aren't thick enough to protect my knees, elbows, or lower back. Thicker mats are bulky and hard to roll up and store. This one is great because it folds in thirds and tucks away against a wall. Working out on it is great, too — my only wish is that the vinyl cover were a bit thicker because I'm afraid it'll tear since my cats like to walk across it when I'm using it (because, you know, cats).
