  • Have your toolbox and problem solving skills ready!
Overall, the quality of this mannequin is good. Quality control at their packaging and shipping facility is lacking. Along with what I've seen in other reviews, I experienced this first-hand. Everything went together well until I got to the head. After a lot of trial and error, and reaching out to customer support which was no help at all, I finally figured out that the plastic mounting pieces on the head and torso were opposite each other, so the head would not attach at all. If it did, it would have been on backward. I was able to remove the one from the torso and flip it around. The only problem is that the mounting pieces on the head and torso each have a plastic tab and there is a notch that tab has to fit into, so it is designed to only mount one way, with 4 screws that attach it. Once I confirmed that flipping it would work, I had to use my Dremel to remove the tab. Then the piece fit flush when I screwed it back on the right way, and the head attached perfectly. At first I thought I had the wrong head because it had female (very long) eyelashes on it. My wife agreed. Once I confirmed I could attach the head, I removed the eyelashes and it looked a bit more correct. Overall the construction is good, and it will work well for the purpose I had intended, but be aware that you may have to be creative, and problem solve a bit, to account for the poor quality control which results in parts that may not fit together without alteration. It's sturdy and you get what you pay for, but 3 stars overall for the difficulty in assembling it, and lack of help from customer support. ... show more

  • A bit finicky, but it works well
It's a great value here. I use this for a semi-homebrew Darth Vader costume and it works reasonably well. Assembly is quite a bit on the fussy side, and great care is needed so the body parts don't detach during costuming and placement. This is probably my biggest criticism - I know there needs to be a balance between ease of assembly and durability, but maybe a little more toward the other end of the scale would be helpful. Better locks on the parts. As with any fixed form, versatility is a bit of a grab bag. Clothes fit as expected, though the Darth boots had lifts in them to get the outfit up to 6'5 and because the feet are fixed the lifts wouldn't work without altering the balance of the mannequin. Second is the stability plate - it relies on an arm attached to one of the legs, which may or may not work depending on the clothing. Quite possibly there will need to be holes cut in the legs of the trousers if you go that route. However, it stands pretty well on its own, maybe slightly leaning back against a wall. At this price point, it definitely delivers value. Fingers are separated so gloves can be accommodated. It's not the most flexible in terms of posing but then it's not a $1,000 mannequin either. I like it. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble…mostly, but still a good deal.
I was pleasantly surprised when the mannequin was delivered of the unexpected quality for only $120. Set up went fairly well, patience and care are required because it’s only plastic with metal connections. Assemble time was less than 5 minutes, and that was because the head mount connector was backwards on the neck, so a quick DIY with a phillips screwdriver and it was good. I have roughly 15 pounds of gear on the mannequin and still seems quite sturdy. Gave it a 5 because its worth the extra set up nuisances. ... show more

  • Mannequin
Not bad however the head was cracked upon opening the box. Luckily I’m using this for a Halloween display. But for the price nothing should be damaged

  • Just what I needed.
Bought this for a Michael Myers life-size display. It's great. Hands are a little small, but this is great for the price.

  • TALL DRINK OF WATER
Assembly was a bit trying at times. Head was difficult to get on and limbs popped out of place while trying to dress however once everything was in place, this mannequin did a great job displaying an American Legion Uniform. Make sure to get the proper height mannequin for the clothing you will be putting on it. Lucky for me the height of the mannequin-6ft-and the size of the uniform worked perfectly.I would surely recommend this mannequin. ... show more

  • Great for the man cave.
I have never bought a mannequin before so keep that in mind. I really like how easy it was to assemble. The costume is light so no issues with it being sturdy while not being interfered with. When assembling it without its costume the body seemed disproportional but once putting the costume on it it all made sense. The only issue I had was attaching the torso. I removed the plastic cover on the bottom piece and unscrewed the nuts that were too tight causing the springs to be far too compressed. Once I made the change, the torso twisted on without issue. One eyelash and an eyeball covering had come away from the head. Glued those back on. Overall, excellent. My wish list for future updates: The hands are far too small, they are child size and need to be bigger. It would also be great if the elbows were moveable. ... show more

  • It is a Mannequin good only for Halloween missing eye
I am the Grintch, and I did purchase the product. The mannequin was easy to put together and easy to fall apart. You have to hold the parts together and hit them with your hand in order to keep them together. But, hold pressure on the arms and legs or they will fall off by themselves. I purchased this mannequin for a Halloween prop so I can still work with it. But at the same time the mannequin was missing a eye, the right eye. The right eye was purposely drawn on the mannequin but it was very obvious the eye was missing. The eye was not even very well draw just some marker marks. I would not recommend anybody to purchase this product unless you was to use it for Halloween. Otherwise I would return return the mannequin for a full refund. I think the seller knew about the eye and marked it up cheaply. Plus they wanted to take the chance in order to sell a damaged mannequin. Please do your research and find another seller before purchasing a mannequin from this seller. I did give a one and a two rating only because I can use the mannequin for Halloween.
