I want to write this review for not only the product, but the wonderful customer service that I received from GEX so that anyone questioning whether or not this Amazon seller stands by their product and warranty can be well informed! I purchased my original tripod from GEX via Amazon in January (2019), but did not get around to unboxing and using it until this past month (August 2019) .....don’t judge me I order A LOT & get full use of my prime membership 🙈😂. In any case, upon first use the tripod neck snapped off. Obviously I was shocked and upset bc I knew it was outside of the return timeframe for Amazon. I tried to pry the broken piece off, I toyed with the idea of super glue, but ultimately I ended up chalking up to a loss and resigned myself to purchasing a new one in the pink color (this one) when I returned from vacay....which I did and I love! However, upon purchase I received the email reminding me of the 1 year warranty & decided to contact the company regarding the broken one that had given up on. I sent a text to the warranty contact number and received a timely response. I was greeted with empathy and concern for my problem with the product. After an attempt to help me trouble shoot the issue to no avail the customer service person happily made good on my warranty and shipped me a replacement tripod without a problem & free of charge which arrived in the same 2 day timeframe as my prime delivery. Customer service is a dying art and I’m grateful anytime I receive stellar customer service and when a company stands by their product without making the customer jump through hoops for a replacement. I now have my replacement and this new pink unit and I love them both & will happily be buying another soon!! The tripods themselves are sturdy, easy to assemble and use, and made of quality parts.....not that lightweight hollow/bendable aluminum. Fold down small to travel with and include a carry bag + extra/replacement knob, instructions & warranty card. Hope this review was helpful. Sorry so long!

At first I loved this tripod. It was sturdy and was compact so traveling with it was easy. I was busy teaching at the time so I used it for about 2 months daily then put it up for a while. Pull it back out to do some certifications and now the leg is sliding down and I don't know how to fix it. This is my 2nd tripod (the 1st one was from a different company) BUT I don't want to have to continue to purchase tripods every few years. Overall good tripod. Now the question is How Do I Stop It From Siding?????

This is a heavy duty tripod, as described. Very sturdy, great quality, and included all accessories pictured. Holds up my 3-4 pound cosplay headpiece easily. Very happy with this purchase and the experience. It arrived earlier than expected as well so they must have processed the order very quickly.

I am updating my review to 5 stars, the seller asked to see photos and when I sent them, they offered to replace my tripod. This is fantastic customer service and reflects well on them and makes me believe this might be an unusual occurrence. Original review follows: A good wig stand is hard to find. Tripod stands are inherently problematical since the sideways motions that you use when you style a wig (often requiring quite a bit of strength) cause the stand to tilt. This is true for any tripod that doesn't have some additional means of support, like a foot stabilizer system. That's why the most popular wig stands for working on wigs with professionals are those which can be attached to heavy work tables or desks. Having said all that, this is a fairly typical wig tripod. It seems less durable than others I have used. The tripod is of moderate quality. The wig attachment lasted for two years of not really very intense use, and then the metal welding broke, rendering it inoperable and unrepairable. This is the most disturbing part of this, as I have other wig stands which I have used for 6 years or more, and are still going strong. I will be looking for a tripod wig stand, as they are useful for teaching and demonstrations, but this may not be my first candidate for a repurchase.
