  • Great jacker & excellent customer service.
Size: Large Color: Black
It’s a great jacket as it kept me warm and toasty. Unfortunately, it stopped working after having it for 11months. I was bummed because it’s an expensive jacket, but the seller granted me a replacement at no charge. The seller responded quickly and shipped the item immediately. I am beyond satisfied with the great customer service. ... show more

  • Heated gear connections explained
This review ties together 4 products. Gerbing's Gyde 12 volt Jacket Liner-Powersport-Large/Regular Portable Temp Controller Powerlet SAE To Coax Female Cable (This is probably the one you want.) Powerlet (PAC-038) Coax Male To SAE Cable (Don't understand the need for this one, but someone probably wants it.) I'm posting this to provide some clarity around the typical connections for heated gear. I bought a Gyde Motorcycle Jacket Liner that's labeled Gyde Supply Co. and "Powered by Gerbing." I previously had an old Gerbing jacket from 2002, and it only had SAE (pigtail aka Battery Tender connections) for power. The modern jackets seem to connect to the power source using "coax" connections. It's much more common to run an SAE/pigtail/Battery Tender connection directly from your motorcycle battery than to run coax. So I needed to buy an SAE to coax converter cable. If you're running an SAE connection from your motorcycle battery, you want a Powerlet Coax Female to SAE Cable. (I mistakenly bought the wrong one at first.) Starting with the battery, here are the connections: Either 1 or 1 Alternate: 1) Fused battery terminal to female coax connector. This came with the new jacket. 1 Alternate) Powerlet Coax Female to SAE Cable. 2) The side of the controller that faces the power is male coax. 3) The side of the controller that faces the jacket is female coax. 4) The wire coming from the jacket to the controller is male. For 1 and 1 Alternate, regardless of which battery connection you use, you want a fuse on it. If you only use the jacket, use the 7.5 amp fuse that came with the jacket. If you have other heated gear hooked up to that power line, you'll have to do some math to pick the correct fuse. The jacket comes with a chart that spells out the amp draw for jacket, gloves, etc. I hope this helps you buy the correct gear in one shot! ... show more

  • This jacket is faulty, but the company replaced at no cost to us.
Size: XX-Large Color: Black
After 11 months, the right sleeve connections to the heated gloves no longer work. It's no longer eligible to be returned, so are we stuck with an expensive and faulty heated coat? Please help us resolve this as the coat has been put away since the beginning of the year so we didn't know it was faulty. The company sent us a replacement at no cost to us. ... show more

  • Poor Quality/Returned
Size: Small Color: Black
Purchased to replace my older bomber-style Gerbing Heated Jacket from say 15 years ago. Thought the new thiner heating elements might feel better on the arms. The older style bomber style I currently use, has an elastic collar, cuffs and waistband. The jacket looks good off the bike and is well insulated. A non-rider might think it was a normal thermal jacket looks-wise. The new liner sorry to say, looks like an inexpensive Halloween costume! The material had the same cheep looks and feel. The neck opening and waist were not elastic and were huge, offering absolutely no wind protection. Heating zones were localized and did not fill the liner as did they in my older jacket. The product details highlighted the dropped tail as an aid in keeping your lower back warm. In reality it was paper thin, had no heating element and was useless. I really enjoy my older jacket and the new model, is absolute rubbish from a function point of view. I have never written a negative review, but this product was clearly ill conceived, and calling it a liner does not excuse the sub par quality. Shame on you Gerbing! Matthew/NJ ... show more

  • Fits as I expected. Med. was perfect
Size: Medium Color: Black
I am 5’3” female and the medium fits perfect! It’s lightweight and not too long in the arms.

  • Beware of sleeve length
Size: XX-Large Color: Black
Coat should fit snug to transfer heat effectively. XL was right body size but sleeves were 4” too short. They need to offer an XL Tall but didn’t at the time. Sent both back.
