This dress is giving me serious nightgown vibes. In the stock photos, it looked like it would be a cute little tunic situation, but when you get to the larger toddler sizes the skirt is quite long. I would say this will hit my daughter mid-calf, and she’s pretty tall for her age so most dresses don’t make it past her knees. The print is a really cute holiday-themed print. There is not a lot of stretch to the fabric, but there are two snap buttons at the back of the neck to make it easier to take this on and off. The leggings are very thin, almost more like tights instead of pants. Like the dress, they run long. I think this is a real plus for the Gerber brand - so many clothes only last a few months in our house because our child outgrows them so quickly. I got a size 3T for my 2 year old, which is the size she normally wears, and the pants were a bit tight and the top seemed like it was too big and swallowed her up a little. This little set has a pinafore style top and long legging style stretch pants. The fabric is 100% cotton. The instructions say to wash inside out on cold and tumble dry. The stretchy neck fabric coordinates with the pants. It’s not a bright red, but more of a deep brick. All the inside seams are serged and the ruffled hemline is top stitched. It has a circle yoke on the front and the back. So sweet. The background of the top fabric is ecru with the tree and antler color matching the pants. Little woodland animals adorn the top: deer, rabbits and a little bird. The fabric is covered with red dots- it looks like it could be snowflakes in the forest. My 2.5yr old is a bit taller for her age (she is 3 feet tall), so I got her the 3T size. I initially just had her wear it as a dress, since it seemed long enough. But she's gotten even taller these past couple of months so now I dress her with the pants the set comes with. Those fit her almost perfect, with just a bit of give on the length. The top is perfect for Fall weather, as it keeps her warm when the chill starts in the morning but it's also thin enough to where she doesn't get overheated. Same with the pants, they are not thick, so they are great when it's still warm out. I've washed both in cold water and low heat, and no issues there with any shrinking or pilling.
