I found four white plastic bins at WalMart that are perfect side by side for two of the shelves to hold loose cosmetics and toiletries. Towels are on other two shelves. Scale slides underneath. Got the 3-tier wire shelf to store all of my sandals, boots, and shoes outdoors. It barely ever rains here in southern California, so this is perfect. I did some careful measurements, and this shelf fits perfectly by my brick wall in the front yard. The dimensions are indeed 17.85 inches L x 12 inches W x 31.5 inches H. For those assembling the shelf, be sure to have the indented holes facing outwards while adding in the screws! The process took about 10 minutes to install, and no additional tools were needed. Comes with 2 sets of screws and nuts to add a second shelf to the top. The tiers are customizable to different heights, so I installed the bottom one much higher to take advantage of the floor space, making this "4 tiers." Overall, for around 25 dollars, this is a solid and sturdy (I did pushups on it, and it holds) shelf worth considering if the dimensions fit your needs! Hope this helps, and cheers! ... show more
