This Gentle Monster Baby Bassinet is so convenient to have. My baby nephew is living with me while his mother recuperates, and he was a premature baby. He has a history of reflux, so I want to be able to see him all the time. Plus, this bassinet has a feature that allows the head to incline. The bassinet took me about 20 minutes to put together. I did not need any tools. It comes with assembly instructions, but I mostly followed the video on Amazon. Once assembled, the sidebar can be lowered quickly, and the bassinet can function as a bedside sleeper. The bassinet can rock gently by turning the big button on the side. I love being able to see my baby nephew at all times through the breathable mesh. The mattress is soft. The bassinet is also height adjustable. It comes with a mosquito net if I ever decide to wheel it outside to the patio. The wheels do turn easily, and I wheel him in whatever room I am working in if he is napping. My favorite part of the bassinet may be the storage area underneath. I put diapers, wipes, lotions, clothing, toys, and even extra blankets in it. Overall, this is a well designed bassinet that has every feature I can possibly think of to make taking care of baby easier.

This bassinet wasn't too difficult to set up, although it took around 20 minutes to get it all assembled. The mattress fits in snugly and securely. The storage area is nice and big and holds plenty of diapers and other baby necessities. The rocking function is not very smooth so I doubt I will be using it. Overall, it seems like a safe option for a newborn to sleep in for the first couple months of life.

This bassinet is sturdy and attractive, perfect to keep a newborn secure and give parents security and freedom during those initial months of life! Love how it's easy to move around, and the extra storage is perfect for all that parents need access to in those initial months of newborn care. This is working out great at the new baby's grandmother's house, where the new mom and baby are staying temporarily to get extra help in those first couple of months. And it's so sturdy that it will last for more than one baby, so it's a great investment. The net is great to give that extra peace of mind that baby is protected.

The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty decent bassinet, for the most part. It’s about 11" deep, which is a good depth for longer use. The mattress fits well with no gaps. The storage area below the bed is the best I’ve seen. There is a rigid board in the bottom of the storage area which makes it very sturdy and easy to load (taller things don’t fall over!). It comes mostly preassembled, and the wheels roll very smoothly. However, it has some difficulties: —The instructions are not good. I think the title on the instructions tells you a lot about how they are worded. I’ve included some photos that I hope will help. —This is supposed to be used as a bedside sleeper (the side will fold down), but mine did NOT come with the straps that are needed to go under the mattress to keep the bassinet safely close to the bed. I don’t know if they were just left out of mine, or if none of them come with straps. This could possibly be a safety hazard when used as a bedside sleeper. —I don’t now about other areas of the country, but the mosquito net holes on the canopy are too large to actually keep the mosquitos we have around here out. (As are the ones on the side mesh.) But they will keep larger insects out. —The canopy covering does not attach very well. It is just elastic all the way around, and it pops off too easily. (Other bassinets I have had fasten the canopy to the bassinet with clamps, zippers, or Velcro.) —The loops that are supposed to hold the curved bar when the side is down are not close enough to actually support the bar. The bar keeps falling out of them. And the snaps on the loops were extremely difficult to snap. I plan on just leaving them snapped even when I store the bassinet. —Technically, it does rock. Sort of. It jerkily rocks a little bit (see video). I think you might accomplish more by just gently jiggling the bassinet. I think this could nicely be used as a stationary bassinet with the side up. The tray in the bottom is really great for storage of all of the many baby things.

I love that this bassinet can be used as a bedside sleeper, which makes nighttime feedings so much easier and helps me keep baby close.
