The media could not be loaded. I was annoyed by the level of the noise coming out from cnc machine so I decided to perform a little research between buying of the box and building one. I ran the numbers and buying the box turned out to be cheaper than making one. After that I decided to buy the box and give it a shot. I have got the pleasing results. The level of the noise dropped significantly and I am pretty happy about it. Plus there is no dust flying around. This is good that it is self contained. Additionally to reduce the level of the noise I used those spring dampening devices that vinyl listeners are using and installed under the machine. To have a light inside the machine I built custom led board that is powered by the axis controller. The box has two big holes in the back which are super convenient to run wires and vacuum hose. Overall this is a great well-priced buy. It would be nice to add some light lock to keep the front part of the box sealed. It could be a simple rubber strap. Also internal light is a must have. I wish the product had more color options, I am not big fan of the black color scheme and I would prefer to see a light gray as an option.

I purchased the light plexi enclosure because the heavier one was not being sold in the US It did little, then I added automotive deadening to the light one fully covered and this also added limited DB decrease. I finally purchased the portable and found it was not very rigid when put together and did a minimal decrease in DB then i put the plexi inside the portable, and packed the inbetweeen with sound proof foam and after any attempt got the DB level to 55

This is a well-designed enclosure. It sets up and tears down easily with the Velcro strips and the windows allow good visibility. It makes a noticeable difference reducing the sound but I am most impressed with the additional features. I like the tool pouches and cable management. And I also think the suction port and emergency shutoff button cutout show the thought that went into this enclosure design.

This CNC enclosure is a huge upgrade for my 3018 series router, allowing me to reduce noise and dust so that I can operate it in my home instead of leaving it in my garage. The dust port is flexible, so it will work with a variety of shop vac nozzles including my mini vac. There is also a port for an emergency stop button along with an extension, which allows me to mount the button on the outside, where I can easily access it. I can also run my offline controller through the same port, and I will likely attach an additional hook and loop tape to the back of the controller so that I can mount it to the enclosure. The size of this is more than sufficient for the router, leaving plenty of room for all the cords while the router is in motion. It is easy and quick to set up and take down, making this easy to store while in it's flattened state. I could have built an enclosure, but with the list of projects I want to tackle, an enclosure is at the bottom of the list and definitely not as much fun. Ordering a pre-made one has allowed me to get right to work on the ever-increasing list of fun projects I'm dreaming up. The enclosure fits together with sturdy hook and loop tape. It takes less than two minutes to fully assemble. I'm actually very surprised with how sturdy the enclosure is once all the pieces are connected. My favorite thing about this is that it offers good visibility while the machine is in motion. With acrylic windows covering a majority of the top and front, I can easily view the progress of my projects. Overall, this has improved my CNC setup greatly. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a portable enclosure option.

This is a good enclosure for the 3018 CNC, it fits around my unit that has been extended to 30x40 (but not for full travel where the plate goes beyond the 3040 frame). It is a bit cumbersome to assemble as it tends to flop around while trying to attach the hook and loop fasteners. It is also not stable enough to tote around assembled - tends to fold an collapse. It's fine sitting in place on stable surface and enclosing the CNC so it's functional and useful. The price point is a bit high for me.

I have a genmitsu CNC machine and while I have a dust shoe on it, I still get plenty of dust in the air. This is a great solution to that problem. It allows me to open it up (it folds very compactly) and put over the machine in little time. It also allows me to continue using the vacuum hose to keep it contained. I have a laser attachment on the CNC. I didn't see anywhere that the cover indicated that it could be used with a laser attachment, but looking at other covers for laser cutters, I wouldn't do it. It doesn't seem like it would be fire resistant so I would only use it for carving with the router and not the laser module.

This fits my comgrow which is a 3018 sized tabletop cnc. Easy to put together and fairly sturdy. Helps keep the dust inside and less trouble cleaning up. Two issues cause me to take off a star 1. It’s not mobile. Yes it’s foldable, but once you set it up(properly), you wouldn’t want to take it down, reason being it requires the emergency stop button to be removed from the machine and installed on the outside of the case, for obvious reasons. While the product provides you the extension cable to do so, it also makes the “mobile” point moot. 2. The case SMELLs. Make sure you air it out before putting it up in your shop or you risk stink up your workspace
