Before I purchased this pump, I would use a gravity fed system on ny inverter generators and not closing the cap and creating a seal or vapor lock would make my generator turn off and wake me up to go fix the issues. After purchasing this pump, all my problems are gone and no more messy gasoline spilling everywhere. If you are in doubt, don't. It's worth every penny. It fills your generator within 2 to 5 minutes and draws about 80 to 90 watts while turned on. They used good plastic and has great build quality, so for now no worry of it cracking and failing. So summarize, if this fits your inverter generator, it's a must to have if you keep it on for longer period of time than the oem gas tank can provide.

I have almost 400 hours of use out of it so far and it's been great (my generators only hold 1.1 and 1.7 gallons of gas). This model fits both my generators, so I bought it over their newest model that adapters to fit more generators. If you get one, make sure you buy the gas tank parts for the yamaha motors.

Using with gen max unit, easy install and seems to be performing well. Ever though my Jenny lacks a 12v port I just ordered a AC to DC converter and plugged it into one of the existing plugs. No problem now waiting for the next lengthy power outage. Last lasted 8 days ... Wish I had this unit then.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this fuel pump to allow me to run my camper A/C all night without having to refuel. The video is just a test to see if it is a workable solution. I will provide an update but it seems to be a fix for my small gas tank. I started the generator with a small amount of fuel and the fuel pump from GenMax not only filled the generator tank while it was running the A/C unit but went into a standby mode when the tank was full. It is connected to a 6 gal portable boat tank with the supplied hose and primer bulb.

I finally was able to get this to pump gas, but now it leaks all over. Gas comes out of the housing/side and leaks all over my generator. A big fire hazard. It appears that one of the screws is missing from the interior of the housing, so perhaps it is a quality issue. Also, I think that it should have came with some type of gasket to stop the gas from coming over the top of the gas tank opening.

This fuel pump is a game changer. Saves a lot time and effort spent refueling the generator. I had a problem at first because I was using a 110 to 12 volt plug adapter, but my adapter was only rated for 2 amps (24 watts) - not enough to power the pump. When connected to a proper 12 volt source this fuel pump works like a charm. Note: I'm using the pump with a Maxpeedingrods MXR3500 generator, which fits the pump perfectly.

No other company is making a product like this. It works great. I hope genmax (or someone) will sell adapters to fit other types of generators. Wish it was more affordable, but they own the supply for this demand and I can't blame them for profiting.

I ordered the standard model. What I received was the GMEFP-PLUS model which was missing all of the thread adapters. It was re-taped and had obviously been returned with missing parts. Besides that, it was not even the pump I ordered. Amazon did send me a replacement though and that one works fine. So I ordered a second one for my other generator and it will not pump fuel, even using the same hose and fuel tank that works perfectly on the first one. You cannot even squeeze the primer bulb like there is a blockage in the pump. Serious quality control issues. Its great if you get a working one. Open and test Immediately to insure it works so you can get a replacement before the return window expires...
