What a difference these chair seat covers make! Our dining set is old and reupholstery is expensive. The covers were relatively easy to put on, it took my husband and I about 40 minutes to remove the chair seats and put the covers on 5 chairs. They look so nice! Some of the straps were sewn off-center but otherwise we are very pleased. Note that there is a seam which we put at the back of the chair, and then pulled tight so it doesn’t show. Our chair seats are 20” x 18” and these fit great. Could even be used for larger seats. There are no instructions with the covers and although pretty self explanatory, the way they fit our chair seats, the screws went through the fabric. Doesn’t seem to be an issue though! ... show more

I was prepared to be disappointed with these chair covers....and am shocked that I like them! These covers state they are for seats up to about 17.32 inches. My chairs seats are not perfectly square and are closer to 18x20. So, they would certainly fit better if your seats were a bit smaller. Since the cover is on the small side I tried three different methods. One, the correct way, taking the entire seat off. Two, loosening the screws and slipping the plastic buckles under, and the third just slipping the seat cover on and hiding the straps (I may eventually cut them off completely if I determine I don't really need them). Because of the design of my chairs I would say there is not a noticeable difference. Some of the old cushion is exposed at the very base. However, you will only see it if you are looking for and crawling around on the floor. It is virtually un-noticeable. The one thing I am wondering about is if your cushions were on the smaller side, how well would the buckles do to keep the fabric tight? The buckles are one size fits all elastic, you can't shorten or make them tighter. With the tight fit of the cover on my chair, they don't seem to serve a purpose. So, this fabric pattern is actually quite soft, not what I expected. But I actually really like it. And I feel like the little bit of texture to the fabric might help wipe off spills. These are not waterproof. As I was looking it seems like most sellers have the same patterns and colors in standard and waterproof (with waterproof being a bit more expensive). I'm thinking I could spray it with Scotchguard for the same basic effect. One of the annoying things as I researched is that most sellers offer 2, 4, and 6 slipcovers. I have 8 chairs. And of course they are cheaper if you buy more. I did find a few sets of 8. Or perhaps a few extra would be good if they don't last forever. From what I can tell there are several vendors with seat covers that look pretty much identical (probably one manufacturer, multiple vendors). These were the best priced when I was making comparisons. All in all, these are a huge win for me. A relatively inexpensive and easy way to give my chairs a new look with less work than cutting fabric and getting out my staple gun. And I really don't think they look like slip covers! ... show more

Great fabric, looks like a new chair. I wasn’t sure they would fit my cushions because they measure 16 x 22, but could fit even a larger cushion. Easy install. Saved me hundreds on an upholsterer.

So glad I purchased these chair covers, they fit my seats perfectly.. I ended up using these for my dining room chairs.. They are exactly what I was looking for, the grey color goes with my kitchen table perfectly.. They saved me from having to re upholster them.. They clean up easily, I can also remove them and wash them if needed.. I just wish they were a little bit thicker material, because it’s somewhat a thin material.. But still a great purchase.. They even stay in place and do not slide off. I haven’t had any rips yet. They are holding up great.. ... show more

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing these covers. What I found interesting is the one and two star reviews complained about the need to remove the seats to put the covers on properly. So please the instructions as it is very clear for a great fit you need to review the seats. It normally is just a matter of removing four screws as it was in our case. Have not had the need to wash them so we cannot comment on that. I tried several times to get stains out of the original seat fabric but just was not able to. I could have bought material to recover myself but decided to try these first as it would be much less expensive than purchasing the fabric. Good quality but was not sure about the pattern and feeling once it arrived. Super easy to install and besides it is not the most better looking, it did improve my chairs that were worse than that
