Description

Our unique patent pending GENSHED generator shed is designed for both running & store your generators at the same outdoor location so you can store and run your generator at the same outdoor location, saving your garage space and also don't need to move out/in for each operation. It is important to know that our shed includes an all-around steel frame that lock the fabric covers on all side so the fabric covers have no loose or free hanging section that may flip or swing around in windy weather. This is where we differentiate our generator covers for running and storage from all others on the market. Each side cover can be opened and locked at any needed height along the steel frame so the shed acts as the generator running shelter with necessary air flow ventilations. The shed sits and is locked onto the top frame of your generator and have some ground clearance at bottom so you can move the generator with the shed on and this ground clearance also prevents the bottom edge of the side cover to be buried in the heavy snow in winter. We have different shed size to cover branded generators like Honda, Generac, Champion, Firman, Duromax etc. ranging from 2.5 K to 15K, inverter or gas generators. I've been looking for something like this for years. All the portable generator's instructions say to not use them in the rain, which is exactly the time you're most likely to need it. This addresses that problem and does it well. Although I haven't actually used it yet, I was impressed the the apparent high quality of the construction and thickness of the materials used. They also included a generous amount of hook and loop fasteners to hold it to the generator while in use. It's easy to keep the sides, where the electrical connections and switches usually are, covered, and leave the ends open for engine exhaust and air intake/cooling air. I can't speak to durability yet but it certainly looks well made. I guess that accounts for the price; you get what you pay for though. ... show more

It's a good design and I like it. A couple misses: 1) They give you only sticky-back velcro which doesn't work for the tie between the generator and the cover. It does work for sticking to the generator itself. So you'll need to buy the right kind of velcro strap. 2) you have to open an account on their website to view the installation instructions - I wasn't sure what the 5' of sticky-back velcro was for but found a video on YouTube and see it's the wrong type of velcro. ... show more

Finally, a generator cover that doesn’t look like a grill cover! Easy to set up and easy to transfer from storage to running. Aluminum top is a game changer. The only disappointment was that the assembly is manufactured in China. Thought that since Genshed was a startup company in Washington, it would be manufactured in USA. Just set it up so don’t have any information on durability yet. Update: Our area experienced some hard rain over a 24 hour period. Generator stayed bone dry throughout. ... show more

While it covers my generator well and allows me to keep it outside, one of the zippers broke off within a week and after a few rains, the screws on the handle are rusting and dripping rusty water on the top of my generator. I was expecting the top to be waterproof, but that does not seem to be the case. Now I need to figure out how to make it that way. A bit disappointed. ... show more
