  • Amazing Overall Tires
I have a 2015 Honda Civic Si Sedan and these tires held up great. I put a lot of miles on my car for commuting to work and the tires do great in the rain and snow. I also like to do some spirited driving as well and they hold up really well around turns even in the rain. I am buying a new set again since I went through my current set and I think I will continue to run these as long as I have this car, I absolutely love these tires. ... show more

  • this is an honest review 4.5 stars =)
vehicle- 2018 Elantra sport with the manual transmission. 201bhp 195tq. mods lowering springs, intake, muffler delete. location- north Texas/concrete roads miles on tire- 38kish Drive style- Spirited I've had the tire about 2.5 years. I've driven in dry, wet, and snowy conditions. dry- very grippy in my elantra sport its hard to break traction in turns at speed. even when launching the vehicle it grips pretty hard. that said I did see a decrease in gas mileage of about 1. this is down from 36 on the highway. wet- when the tires were new they had excellent grip in wet conditions. even at 50% tread life the tire was very predictable and still decent grip. the tires are at about 5% life and are in need of replacement so at this tread of course its a bit sketchy in the wet. snow- in 2021 north Texas got snow about 8inches in my area. There are no hills in my area. The tire in snow as it is a all season tire mid at best. I did not get stuck but snow packed heavily in the tread of the tire making more prone to slipping. This was Expected. Maybe don't rely to much on these in the snow and get a snow tire. Ice- forget it. do not bother. Bottom line this is a great tire with great grip and a strong sidewall. I do wish these would have lasted longer as they did not make it to 50k, though I do understand that my testing may have contributed to the wear. Rotated every oil change at 4.5k, tire pressure set at 33psi. as of right now I'm sitting a hair above the wearbars. Don't second guess your choice and buy these. hope this review helps someone on the fence. ... show more

  • Snow traction is great for an all-season, wish wet traction was more immediate
Purchased a set of these tires to replace my disappointing set of Fallen Ziex ZE950s for my Civic Si. What a difference. Having been driving through the snowfall so far this winter, I don't feel uneasy at all about driving in it, as compared to the Ziex. They are far better at snow traction. Where the Ziex struggles to get any traction even on flat roads, the G-MAXes are grippy enough in the snow to make it up my steep driveway consistently. I'm a little disappointed at wet traction...it doesn't break loose much at higher speeds, but that initial acceleration doesn't grip too well, and the tires feel fairly soft in dry weather. Longevity is to be determined, but so far, these will definitely be my tire of choice going forward. ... show more
