Fit perfectly and my 12 yr old washer back in action. Also changed the tub seal, solenoid valve, water outlet duct and pressure switch since I had the washer apart. The old hub drum looked like Swiss cheese 🧀. I used a deep 1-11/16” impact socket and 1/2” impact driver to get that aluminum hub nut off. I didn’t want to risk tub damage with that spanner style wrench and hammer. The hub was also rust welded to the split ring and really stuck on there. Repair Clinic was a great help to find the correct parts with videos on how to do the work. My GE washer model number was hidden behind the wash load selector switch on the left. ... show more

When I got the part, it was defective and full of cracks and casting defects. However, they were very understanding and sent me out a new one. Posting a pics of the defective one just for the heck of it.

    • Life saver! DIY and save yourself a couple hundred bucks!
My washer capped out on me. It was used when I got it, so I expected to have to make some repairs at some point. The previous owner lived in the country and used well water, so this seems to have added to the wear and tear on the machine. I bought a repair manual on Amazon (Washing Machine Repair) and started doing additional research on YouTube. Found out the culprit and ordered my part. I wish I could share pics of the part that I had to replace. It was literally in pieces. Anyway, I did have to end up buying a special tool to be able to uninstall/reinstall this piece, which was about 20 bucks from my local appliance parts store. But this part has worked like a charm! And (knock in wood) the machine has been running great ever since! ... show more

This item was a perfect match and exact fit for my mother in law’s washer, while the original one broke into pieces i order this one and the shipping was so fast she only spend 2 days without a washer, so that gave me more than enough time to disassemble it and by the time the part got here all i had to do was set the part in place and reassemble, i also had time to wash and clean most of the parts real good because those things are filthy, specially the tub part where all the water goes…. Product condition was great but does not fit model GTWN4250D1WS. Good thing it was free returns. For GTWN4250D1WS you have to either buy the entire tub/hub assembly for $300-$500 or find just the hub on the used market. GE should be ashamed selling a washer where this part rots out in 5 years and offers no reasonable replacement. ... show more
